Chelsea v Man City (CL Final) 29/05/21 KO 20:00 BST

Featured Replies

Hard to believe that we are European Champions. Yesterday at this time to be honest I didn't have any nerves for the match, went to Blackpool, stroll down the prom and back in time for the kickoff. once we scored the nerves really kicked in big time and whilst enjoying the match the butterflies had kicked in.

Finals are won by small margins on the whole. TT got his selections and tactics spot on. Pep possibly more worried than he had shown, out thought himself with his weird team selection.

To a man everyone did their job on the pitch. The defenders get the plaudits though we defended as a team from the front.

Timo couldn't hit a cows a*se with a banjo, his runs though created panic in City's defence

Our wingbacks won their personal battles, pushing City into an already congested middle

Kante again had a fine game, he is one of those players we will appreciate even more when he eventually leaves/retires

We all wanted academy players in the first team, they are there on merit. Great credit should go to Neil Bath and his team

In 2012 we enjoyed the win, it had been a long time coming but always had a hint of luck with it. This title was won on merit. We performed in the group stages when it mattered, dominated the knockout stage games and won as the better team on the night in the final.

TO BE FAIR DAVID LUIZ AND DIEDO COSTA SENT GOOD LUCK MESSAGES SUPPORTING US ON SOCIAL MEDIA BEFORE THE GAME..

right, Fair play to both of them and the likes of Oscar and Cesc.
but for Willian and Eden it must been very hard to watch us lift the trophy thinking: what have I done?

Imaging getting a divorce and then your ex wins the lottery.

I really wonder what the likes of Eden, Snake, Willian and David Luiz thought last night?

Someone here posted earlier that the Snake himself cheered on his old club & teammates. Surprised to say the least.

Saw Eden and Courtois congratulate us on twitter, also i think we have given TC a lot of grief and i am now Ok to move on..  Willian i think posted on instagram about Conte nothing from Luiz...

Before I exceed my daily limit of likes and comments.....can I suggest if everyone wants to celebrate with a laugh have a quick look at the matchday thread on blue moon.... a lot of botter c**ts 🤣🤣🤣 my favourite comment being one about how "we just need half a kante". But of course there is all the "chelsea just sh*thoused a CL trophy" etc....really worth a read

I don't do any other forms of social media at all apart from these forums. So if anybody has found any comments from the Gallagher twat twins I'd be grateful if they could post it up. Noel Miserable had an awful lot to say before the game.

This club never ceases to amaze us. It's always a roller coaster ride, but I don't think we would have it any other way. It will take some time for the events of the last 18 hours to sink in properly.

It's something we will remember for decades to come.

I thought 2012 was the pinnacle, and we wouldn't feel the same sense of relief and happiness but this equally matches it. To say we're now 2x Champions League winners is special.

We now enter a very elite group of European clubs (13 to be exact) to have won the competition on more than one occasion. Makes me smile and laugh to know we're only 1 Champions League final victory away from equalling Manchester United 😎

It cannot be understated we're now entrenched as one of the big clubs in Europe. The success of the past 25 years, including 2 Champions League trophies backs this up.

There's so many great individual stories from this success.

  • Thomas Tuchel did the impossible and cemented himself as a managerial legend of the club regardless of what happens from now on. We'll be singing his name forever!
  • We defeated two top flight winners (Manchester City and Atletico Madrid) and defeated the historically most successful club in the Champions League (Real Madrid).
  • Azpiliceuta has won all major trophies at the club.
  • Kante will go down as an all-time great. Like Drogba, the man always delivers on the biggest occasions.
  • Havertz will go down in folklore as a Chelsea goalscorer in a Champions League final alongside Lampard and Drogba.
  • Thiago Silva gets his redemption after falling short with PSG last year.
  • Mateo Kovacic is a 4x Champions League winner.
  • Rudiger and Christensen have had a new lease of life on their careers.
  • The academy graduates were pivotal to our success (Mount and James). There's something extra satisfying seeing our youth succeed at the top.
  • After Real Madrid; Bayern Munich and Chelsea have won the most Champions League trophies since 2012.
  • 2012 marked an end of an era with the old guard. 2021 marks the beginning of a potential dynasty as the squad is much younger this time round.

What a club! BLUE IS THE COLOUR!

That's what I was thinking, one more CL and we are the 2nd most successful British team in Europe.  As it stands we've got 7 European Trophies, Manchester United have 6, but obviously their extra CL is worth more than our Europa/Cup Winners Cups (still special nights mind).  I don't like to be big headed, but I reckon our name is on the Super Cup, There's no way we can lose 4 on the bounce surely?

He said on BM "Hello, Hey Now, Don't look back in anger, Cast no Shadow on my Wonderwall"

I thought we would win after losing to Leicester in the FA final just bet on the wrong score.

I think Tuchel did the decent thing then and played Kepa yet Mendy would have saved that shot and then after that thought we would beat City yet not sure how.

Surprised Fernandinho didn't start, surprised how good James was marshalling Sterling and also Chilwell on Mahrez.

Werner's form did not improve with playing in the final his finishing was still atrocious and yet we had luck in other ways, Rudiger's freak bodycheck on KDB taking out their best creative player if that is not luck I don't know what is.

Havertz's goal had more fortune, in the EPL think that would have been offside courtesy of him pointing forwards indicating where he wanted Mount's ball.

The other instance of luck like Azpi's clearance from under the goal posts, and people diving on the ground to cut off crosses in the penalty area.

Great to see the team celebrating afterwards looking like a real unified squad, even Kepa putting an arm around Aguero...........

Being drunk or not and winning the Champions League as excuses, it is now too late to turn back. This will forever be etched on the web.

For @Malta Blue to look at while he cries himself to sleep every night.

Ok so are they going to be selling shirts and hats commemorating the win.  In the US when your team wins a championship they start taking orders for the shirts almost immediately.  But I have been looking on Amazon and have not found anything yet.

We did that last time, look how that turned out. It’s been a far more happier place generally here since, and I think it’s best for everyone (even YB) to carry on as we are.

I didn't know Kev had been banned. When my wife was diagnosed with cancer he became my "buddy" giving up a lot of his time to support me with brilliant advice and a shoulder to lean on. All because of this website. A true blue and a passionate, caring man. Perhaps at some stage he can be offered another chance  assuming he wants one.
