You've got to be consistent to win the league. Pep and Klopp have had five seasons to build their teams, Tuchel been here for a season. They have more consistency as a squad.

The way liverpool are playing this season they definitely have that extra gear to kick in. Been destroying teams for fun.

Title challenge over. The only way we get back to the top of the table is IF City and Pool collapsed together.

It's now crisis mode for us to not let the wheels fall off or it's bye bye Tuchel

I can see AFCON seriously derailing Liverpool but City will be there to the end. Not to mention Mendy will be off too and Kepa is still a question mark

Someone tell me what Lukaku has done since coming on.. He is such a lazy striker .... Argggggggggggggggg

He really is! I just don't understand who thought he was worth 100M when most people could see he is nowhere near that. I know he has just come back from injury but he wasn't great before the injury either.

Shouldn't have lost that game but I think our injuries are starting to catch up to us. Haven't seen our defence this open since last year and it really looked like we were missing a man in the middle of the pitch, this game really needed a Kante or Kovacic.

Defence has been class, but last 3 games, individual errors have cost us massively. Mendy awful today, Jorginho also played his part in the 1st, but mendy got there anyway.

Lukaku looks way off the pace, and we looked like we played with 10 2nd half.

Really disappointing result. Something not quite there compared with City and Liverpool, cant quite put my finger on what is missing.

Exactly, time to do what Arsenal did with Pepe and hold our hands up and admit the mistake.

Different situation; he is £92m £325k/w nightmare you can’t write off

I f**king hate to lose this way, at least if we'd get dominated and play like a bunch of amateurs I'd be fine with it, but again we gift them two goals and then we concede a f**king lucky one that came out of nowhere. Basically WH only created that Bowen chance on their own and still scored 3. f**k this I am f**king fuming right now.

We were playing so well only recently, tearing teams apart with quick football, and in the space of 3 games it's all disappeared and we're back to slow, passing it backwards and sideways, offering little in the way of creativity. It's like as soon as something doesn't go our way, we revert to nervous, tepid football.

We brought that on ourselves… a last few games there have been far too many mistakes. The defeat has been coming

Mendy for all his good saves, has got away with a few mistakes ,not today. He needs to re focus

Havertz going off was pivitol, Lukaku again poor

Mount and RLC generally very good

CHO should be starting , not at WB though

You don’t lose titles with one match but unless we cut out the f8ck ups our challenge will fizzle out

Perfect example of why we aren't genuine title contenders. We can't cope without Kante for too long and none of forward players are ruthless. You don't expect Odoi , Ziyech, Pulisic, Havertz, or  Lukaku to score. All of them shot shy and predictable

We could cope with Kovacic, Ben Chilwell and Chalobah I believe, but you take 4-5 starters out of any top team except maybe City, then you will struggle. We saw last season how Liverpool struggled just loosing VDV, imagin them loosing their 3 top forwards for a while, then their entire central midfield.

They countered. Otherwise they were 11 men inside their own half like the pathetic side they are.

We dominated them again and gifted them two goals, both mainly down to Mendy unfortunately.

Disagree with the last bit Sindre. Jorginho hit a pass to Mendy that was never on and put him in a really difficult situation. He has done that before too.

Jorginho was awful today.

Look lost without Kante.

People say teams roll over for Liverpool and City but it’s not the case, they have professional footballers who make passes at the right time, the right tempo and are more clinical with their shooting.

How the fcuk did we lose that? Well I know, we gave away three terrible goals. But we played all the football going forward…some nice stuff at times. Feel for Loftus-Cheek and Mount for being on the losing side…

Chelsea got worse defensively though after the subs…Hudson-Odoi got in some good positions going forward, without making the most of it, but was a total liability defensively.
