He's not sitting at home having a beer, he's still at work, probably in pain and trying to get fit again with a lot of hard physical work and with the worry about his future health and fitness. The idea that they should eventually cripple themselves to play football is ridiculous. Their pay is absolutely irrelevant in all this. Don't disagree and I don't particularly want to drag this on as the point I was trying to make seems to have been taken out of context somewhat. My point was that if all clubs are reducing the bar so that players only play when they are fully match fit, then it stands to reason that all clubs will need to carry larger squads of top level players so their ambitions don't get derailed with playing second string players. Therefore if larger squads of elite level players becomes the norm clubs surely won't be able to pay them all tens of millions a year. It stands to reason surely. Will bring into question the 25 man PL squad limit, although as we’ve seen U21 players don’t count against that.

January 29, 20242 yr Club spent almost £200m on Wesley Fofana, Lavia, and Nkunku and we've hardly had any one of them complete just one football match this season. We better see some improvement on that regard next season.
January 29, 20242 yr Every time I see a new post on certain players threads I am expecting more injury news that’s my expectations now

January 30, 20242 yr Christopher Nkuwho? what a pointless signing he has been. Club should cut losses on all the injured players this summer... Imagine if we hadn't signed these crocks, we wouldn't be counting the pennies or considering selling the fancy china.
January 31, 20242 yr 1 of only 3 players in the whole squad I am convinced are quality. The others are either obviously trash, a gamble on potential or too injury prone. Edited January 31, 20242 yr by Scott Harris

Feels like we tricked him, we've obviously not attempted to build a squad for a player of his class and hard to see him wanting to spend his prime years here
January 31, 20242 yr Poor bloke. Body of Reece James, and when he can play is when we are losing to score a consolation.

Not dissing him because I do think he's a quality player but the likes of him and Lavia are stealing a living at the moment.
February 1, 20242 yr All we need is to have him fit until the end of the season. He's clearly our best player.
February 1, 20242 yr Think the lad has a bright future ahead for us. Question is whether his fitness allows him to reach his full potential. Edited February 1, 20242 yr by Jezz

He's been anonymous recently, but that's to be expected coming back from a long injury. He needs to condition properly and have a good run of 90 minute games. All in good time of course. Just hope he can remain injury free.
February 13, 20242 yr He has only started in two matches to-date the rest from the bench. City would be a good match to try him in after all, the odds against winning are high and their CBs won't know his game.
