I think Scott's point is that even thought arteta was sh*t when he came, there was a clear identity he wanted the team to play. Our last three managers including Poch have struggle to show the fans what identity they are bringing to the team.

There wasnt though (unless his plan was to become a richer version of Stoke).

As recently as the season before last they were 17th in big chances created, there was nothing to suggest that they were on a title challenging trajectory and even now it's more down to Saliba than anything Arteta is doing.

Not sure that's 100% fair but it's a good point.

Arsenal have been elevated by having some extremely talented young players in Saliba, Odegaard and Saka grow into consistent quality performers.

We don't have many top young prospects particularly upfront Which quite frankly is a disgrace given what we've spent but no manager is going to turn Mudryk or Madueke into Saka that's not the calibre of young player Poch has to work with so we're not going to be clinical even when we create chances.

There is no hiding from that.  We're actually lucky to be 10th or wherever we are.  Lower half side at best.

Ugh, I was pretty confident of us grabbing something today, I'm f**king gutted.

Onto the next one then. I'm still backing the gaffer because I don't see any better alternative and I'm sticking by what I've been saying for months, we need to see it out I'm afraid.

Nobody is going to come here and do a Tuchel 2.0, we just don't have the players or experience for it.

I think our recruitment has been pretty good. We clearly need more experienced players but the players themselves are ok.

Only ones I question are Cucurella and Jackson.

Don’t forget that the club have also done an amazing job of shifting the deadwood.

Cant agree with that, the majority of the players we have bought, we have the price that they might be worth if they fulfill their potential. Not many in this 1st team that you could say is a bargain.

They young players we have bought for lower fees are out on loan, and with no real pathway when you consider the need to add experience into the squad, with it already being very young. So unless they have very productive loan spells in a big league, they will also struggle to be value for money.

Then you actually look at the performance of the 1st team, and we have already missed out twice on champions league football costing the club millions.

I just dont see anyway you can praise a recruitment model that has seen a club go from finishing 3rd, 4th, 4th, 3rd to 12th and currently 12th.

We need to pay what ever Brentford want for Toney.  Because of what we paid manager seems obligated to play Caicedo every game. Sanchez was left out of Brighton team because his distribution nwas poor. Our manager wants a keeper  that is good distribution and assume our keeper coach ex Brighton knows his weaknesses so we buy him . Mad

Any Chance Of Me Applying For The Job And Getting It, It's Very Similar To Potter And All, Trying To Put Square Pegs In Round Holes, Granted Potter Was Slowly Turning It Around But By That Point It Was Too Late

Realistically What Has Changed From The Way Poch Had Us Set Up In Pre Season To The Start Of The Season, What An Injury, Granted I Know It Was Pre Season But That Don't Change Much

Sanchez may have poor kicking but now that he is out injured we will see why Petrovic hasn't had a look in. As you could see from the second Everton goal he could be described as raw at best.

Madueke just isn't very good. He wasn't even setting the Eredivisie alight and yet we ended up forking out £40m for him.

Madueke is also another injury prone player, so cannot seem to go a consistent run of games. Mental how many injury prone players we have at this club.

I am of the opinion that Pochettino has got us to play some very entertaining football in some games, and will probably get slated for saying it. Especially against the top teams, we’ve played them off the park and should have beat them. We’ve also played crap football. Some were predicting a rollercoaster of a season given the players we’ve got, and it is turning to be true. I’m disappointed that we’ve lost to Manure and Everton, but not entirely surprised. We’ll struggle to get a result against Sheffield Utd, given that we struggle against teams that sit deep. But that doesn’t take away the feeling that we’ve played well more often than not, even when we've lost.

Worth remembering that Poch is only on a 2 year contract and I assume that the club sees this as part of the rebuild. I suspect that they will prefer to keep him around for at least the rest of the season as long as we don't actually get pulled into the relegation battle. If we end up finishing off the season no better off than last season, then I could see Clearlake getting somebody else in. But I would no confidence that they would make a good choice should they decide to bring in another manager.

We need to play more teams beginning with  B and L!!

This is the way it always goes. Some defend the manager some want him sacked. There are far worse owners than Clearlake they may have spent the money badly but they have spent the money. Personally I think most of the bits are in place and, you need all of them. Jackson certainly isn't the new Harry kane but on what I've seen Broja is well short of being as good. So we could have a better striker.

Poch has also been unlucky with the full backs. I think we can completely write off Reece james and Ben Chilwell. They are like pots of gold at the end of a rainbow. We need dependable. Right now the club does not have a fit right back. Gusto is no better than James. My biggest criticism of Clearlake is not paying enough attention to injuries.

But as we can all see Poch has made heaps of mistakes. No identity is a fair comment.  The first task has to be to make the midfield work better, midfield have to work as a unit particularly without the ball and then with it connect to the attack better.

The point is though what are the metrics when you sack a coach?
If we are in serious danger of relegation, which I find hard to believe, he will certainly be sacked.

I reckon if we lose two of the next five fixtures he will be close to being sacked.

ManU haven't really done much better.

Complete 180 to what he was saying in Pre-Season.

This is the same bloke that was was bigging up the club back in August on how we are Chelsea Football Club and anything other than challenging for the League/Top 4 isn't acceptable. Now mid table is our reality. No European football distractions, sometimes going 8 days without a match, and we are seeing every excuse under the sun for the lack of preparation and improvement we continue to see. Even Gallagher of all people now looks like he couldn't be arsed.

Nothing describes Poch's management more perfectly than him completely losing his sh*t the moment Nkunku got injured. Almost poetic. His tactics when under pressure has always been questionable and lord and behold it will likely be his demise.
