Neutrals had us fearing Antony for weeks leading up to this.

The result?

Anthony has completed 1 dribble tonight.

The only one I feared was Isco. Thankfully, he faded in the 2nd half. He can't play at that intensity for a full 90 minutes anymore.

I enjoyed that and was really buzzing at the end. Granted I celebrated the Zenith Systems Data Cup win like it was a World Cup.

Special thanks to Jackson for the laughs. He really is the gift that keeps on giving. Faking the injury and then 10 minutes later forgetting that he had done that.

Clearly in the minority I would actually give credit to Maresca for starting a few of the players who had got us there in the first place. I would also credit him, or his staff, or the club in general for being cautious with Reece's minutes since his return. He has defied the odds by remaining fit.

It saddens me to see how far Noni has fallen, I like him a lot but he was truly shocking tonight. With James, Palmer, Caicedo, Cucurella and increasingly Colwill we are developing into a team that looks promising.

The dressing room appears united and we can only hope that Maresca has learned from his first season and becomes worthy of our full support.

Wasn’t too bad in the 2nd half.

Over the course of an entire season, the view on Enzo still stands. ‘Moments’ never make up for it, same with Jackson, same with Sancho.. and others. The problem remains.

Enjoyed the win. Palmer FC we stand. Let’s see what happens at the Club World Cup.

From the BBC reaction

And it brings to an end a remarkable run - with Chelsea the first foreign team to beat a Spanish side in a final since 2002.

I claim bragging rights for the carefully laid jinx on this earlier in the thread !

THREE OHT OF THREE, BABY!

I don't care if this is the ECL or the UCL, but this group of young players needed to win something to believe in themselves.

From Munich to Wroclaw, we've conquered 'em all.

Someone get the DJ a One Step Beyond record for f**k's sake

I think they eventually found Madness the Complete Recordings and played the whole thing.

I'm glad I wasn't on here at HT lol. Awful first half, but we really turned things around once Reece came on. You could see the belief disappear from Betis once the second goal went in, and it was nice to win comfortably in the end. Beyond the usual suspects, kudos to some of the unsung heroes like KDH, and Jorgensen who played their parts in our winning this trophy.

Blue is the colour!
