I was thinking it was going to be Petr Cech situation all over again.

Seems to have come out of it very well. Either Dave is carved out of granite or Mara kicks like a fairy LOL.

I actually thought of the Erickson incident when I saw Dave drop like a sack of spanners and not move. The immediate concern from the players around him was frightening.

So glad he seems OK 

Some players.... fair play to Chilly, Kova, Kepa and the 3 or 4 Saints players that were straight on it.

So happy to see that Azpi doesn't seem to have suffered any serious injuries. Him being OK is the best thing about the game against Southampton. Still think it should have been a red though. Totally reckless play.

John Mikel Obi has criticized the current group of players, saying they are here for the money and lack passion for the game and the club.

He also pointed the finger at Dave not being the person to pull us all together, that he is too nice and a quite guy.

Dave is a lead by example type of captain, but Mikel is spot on in his other assessment. Far too many mercenaries here who have no passion for anything other than their pocket.

Also disappointing is the likes of Mount, James and Chalobah not stepping up as leaders, and JT did from a young age.

Last game for the club today. Goes down as a legend for me. Shame his final seaosn has been so poor, but let's hope he gets a good send off, and hope to see him back at the club in another role in the future. Thanks Dave.
