Time wasting sub is best he gets now, despite of the consistent ineptitude that is Matic and Oscar.

Matic is the one who really needs to have a seat for Ruben to play. Palace away isnt a great game to do it but we need changes

Hopefully he can get a loan deal before the end of January, as it's pointless sitting on our bench for the rest of the season.

Hate to say it  (even though everyone knows it anyway and it's been obvious for years) but he might as well just look for another club. If our youth team players can't get a start here and there after the season we've had then there's no hope they'll ever get a proper chance with us.

I think he's only got 1 year left on his contract hasn't he? We'll probably lose him at the end of that if we don't give him some games.

Hopefully not, we should loan him out this season and hopefully next season our new manager gives him a go.

It was a great well timed finish but apart from a few decent little runs and touches, he didn't really do a lot. In fact, considering he was playing as a no 10, he didn't really get involved in the final third. Felt he stayed away from the ball. I wanted to see him more involved in the play. He kept coming back to get the ball and playing it too simple.

But well done Ruben, you took your chance well.

Does he play as a no 10 for the u21's as well? He has the perfect build for a box to box player.

Not sure he will sign it though, his progress to the first team seems blocked, maybe more so if those rumours about us signing the 18 year old Bologna midfielder come true.

Hopefully the 45 mins and goal he got to today will help restore the confidence Jose ripped from him.

It might need the club to lose a youth player to recognise what they have. A Pogba situation should stop them looking elsewhere and appreciate what they've got.

I'm convinced Bertrand got sold because he was under appreciated. He never let us down whenever he played for us. Real shame.
