Absolutely gutted. A great performance overshadowed by Kepa refusing to leave, f**king bollocks should've saved the Aguerro pen, he should be dropped for a few games at least, can't go against the manager like that.

My boy Kanté for me MOTM, what a f**king beast.

I bet Willy wud have saved than aguero pen..

plus he must have known city players better..

I'd rather bring back Cudicini than play this dipsh*t !!! Fcuk him !!! I've never seen this BS in all of my life !!! Absolutely shameful from him !!! Somewhat glad he did not save more but unbelievably gutted since Caballero SHOULD HAVE PLAYED INSTEAD OF HIM !!!

:look:

Thats the way it goes penalties are 50/50. Played well and there were no bad pens really, just didnt go in on the day.

Somebody start a thread for the game versus them on Wednesday, think the team will be fired up for it.

I don't want to be overly dramatic here but i actually thought the gods were in our favour and it was written in the stars for Willy to come on for penalties against his old club and win us the game. It would definitely have got into their heads. I think Sarri's substitiutions were spot on and the team that finished the match is pretty much my frst choice starting 11 so i can't complain about that.

This keeper has not only undermined the manager, his teammates and the club, making us a laughing stock, but also undrmines the very structure of the game we have. Transfer ban or not, £70m or not, he should not play for us again and this club should back the manager over this as well.

He's like a twelve year old in goal anayway half the time and had a shocker for Aguero's penalty after giving it large to him. Complete tw@t.

I thought big WILLIE for Kepa would have been an *excellent substitution*

At such a vital time the shocking petulance of Kepa f**ks it up...

This had an impact, and my really positive feeling about this game’s outcome dropped.

And this must have effected the players.

what a w**ker...

Personally I was hoping Higuain would have come on sooner - perhaps at the same time CHO came into the match

I'm gutted with that, I really am. This is worse than the cup final defeat against Arsenal 2 seasons ago. We played so well defensively in the 1st half and then were the better team from the 2nd half onwards. To lose after playing so well for so long hurts more than getting outplayed and beaten.

Nobody is to blame for the defeat, the goalkeeper situation was ridiculous, but it didn't change anything, penalties always has and always will have a huge amount of luck involved in it.

This one is painful though, it's like another bad mark on what has been one of the most miserable seasons I can remember.

Despite not getting our hands on silverware, I don't see the bad mark. I'm very proud of our team (although a little less proud of Kepa) for standing up to an opponent that slaughtered them 2 weeks ago.

A performance that showed effort and determination::clap2::. It's been a long time since I actually enjoyed watching us play. Everyone put in a shift and if not for that ugly incident near the end which the media will solely focus on,we look to have improved by quite a bit.

Kudos to our fans today. Mammoth show of support. ::clap2::

Now hopefully we build on the positives and keep it up. Well done Chels:bluescalf:

Possibly agree, but i am glad he did it anyway. Just before he did it i was thinking to bring him on for all of ET as he'd have 30 mins to change the game. Unfortunately we didn't create enough opportunities for him, but hey ho.

Season is done now. Big willy is not good enough as a number 1. With him we have no chance of the Europa league or top 4.

Kepa's Chelsea career has to be over. Big loss on his sale now too.

Unpopular opinion: We may be better off with Willy starting a few games. Kepa in my view doesn't really have any great features as a keeper. He's too short to dominate aerially and he doesn't save that many shots.

Really disappointed in Kepa, didn’t see that in him. Has to to come out publicly and apologise to club, players and Sarri. Probably got caught up in the moment somewhat. Needs to heavy fine and benched for at least a month. If he is humble enough and can make his peace with Sarri ive no problem with him remaining at the club, I think he’s a good one.

jorginho is a dick. I f**king absolutely hate people doing stupid run ups weather they score or not. Thought he’d look cool but looks like a prick.

Kepa owes a huge apology for that. In someway you can see his angle. He played virtually the whole game and wanted to be the hero, however when Sarri insisted, he should of came off, no matter how reluctant. Kepa should of been more conscientious to everything with Sarri too. He is under pressure and the media have been talking non-stop about him. Show him the authority he deserves. The fact that he made a huge cock up one of the penalties doesn't help things too. But let's not take away from how good we were. Thought we were the much better team second half. Sarri made a good decision playing Hazard in false no.9 instead of Higuaín. He looks very lethargic, same way he did couple weeks ago.

Just hope the boys can transfer the performance today against Spurs on Wednesday. Arguably our biggest game of the season.

Absolutely gutted that we lost that final we made Citeh look ordinary, boys played fantastic and credit to Sarri...Kepa was a f**king embarassment and he deserves to be benched after that!!...Kante was an absolute beast today and give Rudi the captain's armband....onwards and upwards and let's spank those spuds on Wednesday...KTBFFH!!! ::ChELSeAFaN::

Players did the club & us lot proud today. Except for Kepa, what a disrespectful Twit. Pens are a lottery, but thought Sarri got the tactics etc a lot better, Shame he didn’t get the cup just a spoilt brat record money signing keeper to ruin his Wembley day out.

This is a total overreaction. Where was this reaction when Willian disrespected Conte last season straight after the F.A cup, and during interviews not long after? Only a few of us were calling him out on it at the time and others were downlplaying it. His behaviour was much worse, at least Kepa did what he did because he wanted to help the team. However wrong it was, it still came from him wanting to help the team.

Whilst i am absolutely gutted and not a little fckd off over this keeper farce, but i would like to say leadership comes in many guises.

To have the keeper undermine the team, then let in a soft cr@p penalty to Aguero, and then to have penalty killer Luiz hit the post putting the team desparately in need of inspiration and leadership, up steps Eden Hazard, who gets bantered by Ederson and then dinks the must score penalty down the middle. That's stones.

Fair play Eden, thank you.

Thought we grew into the game and they all look fired up which was good to see.

Notwithstanding, Kepa's performance prior to shootout was a disgrace and indefensible. Another reason I'm rapidly losing interest in the sport.

Imagine a batsman refusing to walk or Eddie Jones's directives being ignored...bad example to all.

He's a brat that I don't want to see wear the shirt again... Hopefully Sarri gets some proper backing now.

In open play he refused to follow orders from his Coach. You just can´t do that.

Doesn´t matter if wanted to "help the team", he did the opposite.

Are we not overreacting to the Kepa thing a bit? I could see it getting resolved without too much fuss.

I'm hoping it's just an emotional reaction to a cup defeat. I can't believe some people truly believe what they are posting.
