Agree with all of those. As much as i feel this is the best decision for Chelsea football club at this stage i really hope the good he has done doesn't get lost due to the way things ended.

Agreed. I suspect part of the reason Tuchel took the job despite hinting at taking a sabbatical after leaving psg is because a lot of the leg work for the team has been done already and now it’s more about finding the right system that suits the team.

Conte had just won the league and Kante, Matic partnership was touted as being the best Central midfield in the Premier League, breaking up the the heart of the team against the wishes of a title winning Manager tells you all you need to know how much input a Manager has in transfer dealings.

Not only did they sell Matic but they sold him to a direct rival, that's like Liverpool selling Fabinho to us for 40m.

Look at our transfers since Conte left then compare them to Conte's at Inter, which list has more similarity's to the fateful summer17 outlay?

A message to any of our players scrolling through ......

On the quiet they'll be more than one player at this club who has conveniently used Lampard as an excuse to themselves for their own poor form. No names mentioned because that would just be guessing.

Those days are gone.

You all need to step up a gear or several now.

Just because the new manager will have his honeymoon period, that won't mean you are excused piss poor form.

If the fans were in the stadium it wouldn't be Frank getting booed.

I suspect the board will attempt to hire JT as an assistant manager or some coaching capacity in the summer given the nature of this firing being similar to di matteos and mourinhos where the fan base was hit emotionally , regardless of whatever position you stood on lampard being sacked or not. In those two firings the board brought mourinho back and Zola respectively as an attempt to bring some sort of “soul” back.

I have to say, today is very hard to take. As hard as the day we lost the champions league final.

Definitely the hardest managerial sacking for me. I really believed Lampard would turn it around and end up being our long term manager.

It’s really hit me by surprise and I am devastated.

I've heard a lot of criticism of Frank this season of his poor record against the big sides, United have 3 points against the traditional top 6 and have scored 1 goal in that run and that 1 goal was in the 6-1 thumping against Spurs.

Man City haven't beaten anyone above us in the league either !

Feel free to provide the details.

Make what you will of that article but its telling whcih is why some players got frozen out i think.

I wonder if he fell out with Azpi also...🤔

Yes could be. It just surprises me because i always thought Lampard was very good with man management just the tactical side is where he had to improve. Apparently there are more strained relationships than i thought.

Agree with the sentiments

Personally I would've been able to live with the decision had Lampard been given until the end of the season, if we didn't win any silverware and we missed out on top 4 and the board decided to pull the trigger.

Letting him go under these circumstances mid season just does not sit right with myself.

Some of the things coming out, i.e Were they all Lamps signings, or more Roman baubles, interesting developments, never detract from him beings Chelseas best ever player, but he was portraying a struggling man, who didn't look happy, if i was him with his monies, i wouldn't sign a disclaimer to silence me, lets hear the real fallout, warts n all

Was stunned when the news broke but I guess not surprised. Where our Club is concerned we should all be used to the soulless way it's run.

It just wasn't to be with Lamps - not this time anyway.

So the rumours are it's Tuchel to replace him. Could be Micky f**king Mouse for all I care - it doesn't really matter. I know the Club is bigger than any one person but when things like this happen it just makes you feel more detached than ever and as each season goes by I just feel a little less more for the club I've always loved.

A Sad Day.

Was it Greenaway or Hickmott?

I don't know you, but i definitely know how your feeling.

Has anyone seen he wasn’t allowed to enter the training ground to say good bye? If so that’s truly disgusting.

Absolutely down to players too - started with a stupid mendy decision to give away a stupid penalty - who would have thought! but the likes of Werner, Pulisic, Kovacic, Chilwell, Reece, Azpi, Rudi ...have underperformed for weeks..  Missing sitters, letting players run past them for fun... zero agression... the board is dillusional.. if they thought we would challenge for top 4 with this lot... it doent matter what manager you get in.. When  a player lays on the ground trying to win a foul and allowing the opposition to score instead of running back half injured to save a goal.. it tells you all..

most likely something covid related, as he is now "out of the bubble" so to speak

For Tuchel to be sorted this quick, tells me he was almost given the job days/weeks ago.

Lampard was never, ever seeing the season out. This quick appointmen of Tuchel proves it.   And everyone who called Liam Twomey and Simon Johnson in the Athletic liars, and sh*t stirrers, made to look right mugs.

The problem that I see here is that the club (some 30% of the fans as well) see AVB and Frank Lampard as equals.

This is why others call us rent boys, we show very little patience, even towards such a man as Frank Lampard that was offered the job by the board that knew that he couldn't refuse and that also knew that Frank will be just a small sacrifice as soon as he comes to a bad period.

The job is to get the results, everyone knows that and I have also complained about certain things but if the board couldn't soften their hearts for someone like Lampard then it's up to all the fans to simply accept that as long as those people are involved we will never have a long term manager and that alone might be their downfall, at some point people should treat people as people and not as machines.

Fans call us rent boys because they hate us...period!  No matter what we do.

Anyway going through my Instagram and seeing the appreciation posts for Lampard, I can't deny it is sad. Sad that it ended that way. I don't think any true Chelsea fan is happy to see Frank sacked but in my opinion it was the right choice for the good of the club and what Roman wants to achieve which is success first and foremost. Or signs of it heading that way at least.

100% he would still be in the job if we lets say got wins vs Wolves, Arsenal and Villa. All which are realistic expectations had the performances been up to par.

i am still furious .. i always thought he wanted his side to be more aggressive demand the ball put in a shift.. but i dont think culturally he was able to build that here.. to many passive players..  who couldnt didnt want to change...

his biggest achievement for me is to finish in a top 4 with AC, Rudi and Kepa in defense...

Absolute nonsense the rent boy thing is because the Chelsea/ Earls Court area in the 70's 80's there were a lot of gay pubs in the area frequented by rent boys. The male prostitute thing was fake news put about by the ICF.
