Going by this logic every single Chelsea FC employee should be a high earner because every single one of them "contributes" as much/more as our star players

Chelsea FC doesn’t have any employees Boehly sacked them all!

Don’t blame him. Football Twitter is a cesspool of scum.

Romano just reported there isn’t any truth to the club being in a crises in selling players to meet FFP. The goal to sell off players was always discussed since late 2022.

Hopefully this means Mount isn’t seen as a necessary transfer.

Not to mention that, for FFP purposes, we can sell plays at a "loss" from the original fee but still make an FFP profit.

For example:

Kai Havertz, bought for around 62.5mill, 2 years left on his 5 year deal, FFP book Value 25mill, sell him for 45mill, 20mill profit as per FFP book value.

Or

Kepa, bought for around 72mill, 2 years left on his 7 year deal, FFP book value of 20.56mill, sell him for 30.6mill, 10.02mill profit per FFP book value.

Honestly for me the best move this summer is to secure Mount down to a long deal. I don’t care about Nkunku or any potential signings, I just want us to keep him.

He’s going to be a key player and I hope it’s for us. Such a travesty it’s come to this point. If you asked me Mount could leave a year ago it’d be unthinkable.

Mount

Nkunku

Mudryk

Behind a new striker, much better.

I can understand abusing rival team players key word understand not agree with. To abuse your own players though and the ones that actually performed well and are our academy graduates. I'm starting to wonder do we just have that many clueless fans or are people pretending to be Chelsea fans and abusing him because otherwise I don't get it....

Very sad that's he's had to delete his account due to the hate he was receiving. I don't really see much Mount hate in here so that's good. I think everyone's entitled to their own opinion and to express that in a non abusive way. To hate Mason Mount though all I see is jealousy of a young man that's living his dream by playing for the club he loves and playing usually with every ounce of energy he can possibly give. If that's not enough to endear you to a player (and this is without talking about other facets of his game) I don't know what will.

Don't get me wrong he's not a complete player yet and has his limitations at 24 I'm very happy with what I see. He's part of a spine I would build around personally

There's a very weird set of Chelsea fans that are very vocal on twitter (BCT, CFCpys etc) that have taken to abusing all our English players and encouraging their young following to do the same. The abuse you see Mount, Chilly and even James these days getting is beyond bizarre. These same 'fans' also seem to defend players like Pulisic and Havertz to the ends of the earth. I assume its just to look edgy but its a bizarre thing to see and their followers are in the thousands.

Twitter is hands down the most toxic platform which is the single largest source of hate. Not to mention the fake influencer and SM celebrities duping and disillusioning a large set of vulnerable and gullible populous.

Turned off my account in 2018 dont plan to ever go back.

Media reports are that all 3 of Liverpool, United and Arsenal have let it be know to us and Mason they want to sign him.

Leaves us confident we can  get.the 60mill, or close to it, fee we placed on his head. That would be pure FFP profit.

Selling Mount rather than keeping him?

Agreed.

It is ridiculous but If we have to sell because of FFP, it is what it is.

That Henderson role is tailored made for mount. Pool will probably prefer Bellingham (more talented and much higher ceiling than Mount but crazy expensive) but Mount is fantastic alternative.

Henderson role? I don`t watch Liverpool that often but how is Mount suited to the "Henderson role" which is much much more defensive?

When salah drift or make run inside which he does very often. Henderson usually will make run to the outside. Mount is really good at this, you can envision him playing two men game with salah and have Trent bombing long ball from deep.

He deleted his account because Elon has started removing blue checks from celebrities not subscribing to the platform.

What does that mean. Genuine question.  I am not a user so not sure what Blue checks are.

Makes a mockery of the clowns on here and social media who claimed he wouldn't go to a top club.

Moronic if we let him go, just utterly moronic.

Pre-Elon Musk, a blue tick beside your account name meant the account had been authenticated by Twitter, that the user was who he/she claimed to be. A reasonable attempt to guard against fake accounts. Musk overpaid for Twitter and is losing squillions because he's a fiscal idiot. To make money, he decided that blue ticks were now only available for sale and were unauthenticated. Hence you or I could open a Twitter account in Mason Mount's name, buy a blue tick, and fool people into thinking it's a genuine Mason Mount account.

Idiocy on Musk's part and many users, particularly high-profile ones, are now leaving Twitter.

Thank you for that. Seriously that clarifies a lot for me. I opened a twitter purely to ease getting log ons to certain areas, but I don't use it. In fact I can't remember my user name or password.  I could never really understand how the fake accounts were occurring as I assumed that there was some form of validation in the account set up.

This explains a lot. What a cesspit.

Thanks

If he's asking for really high wages (I don't know what he's asking for) then I would agree with letting him go on sale. As good as Mason has been here, I don't think he'll be a key player in this team. Would love to keep him here as squad player though, I'm praying and hoping that's an option.

The abuse he gets on Twitter though is disgusting, I've not seen a player abused as much as he is. It's as if it's fashionable to constantly take the piss out of him and call him a fraud.

It looks like the writing is on the wall though, if he's not playing under Lamps, the first manager who recognised his true potential, I don't think he's here next season.

What is Enzo on salary wise? This website indicates  c. £157k per week.  https://www.spotrac.com/epl/chelsea-fc/payroll/

If true, then this is the sort of money Mase should be earning. You have a young world cup winner with a high ceiling on one hand, and a young UCL winner with a high ceiling on the other.

Obvs. The fact the jokers like Sterling and K2 are on higher is awful - but just because mistakes were made there, it doesnt mean mistakes should be made again moving forward.

If its good for Enzo, its fair for Mase - with performance bonuses built in to reward success.

We shouldn't be selling him for anything less than 60m to be honest, and ideally we send him abroad. He suits Liverpools system perfectly, would hate to see him go there.

If it's a contract issue though, probably better to let him go now than have him leave on a free though
