We certainly got away with one there. Palace definitely deserved a draw at least. But we got points and that’s all that matters. Currently 3rd as it stands which is huge.

Sheffield United away up next which will also be tough - though are in a bit of a rough patch at the min.

This pretty much assures that they’ll beat us. If we get beat by a team who’s main striker is that big huddy Mcburnie - we don’t deserve top 4

lol.. but to be fair.. "Woy" has always given us a tough match for some reason..Plus London teams there are too many of them..

It's my birthday today and I've aged more than just one year. I'll take the prezzie of 3 points, though...

Happy Birthday Valerie ...... hope you have had a good day. Don’t drink too much, I would hate to see you so drunk that you lose all your dignity......oh hang on a minute ?

We rode our luck in the end. It looked like we were gonna throw away 3points.

gilmour did ok but I still think he Has much more to learn. Jorginho controlled the game when he came on bar the last few minutes were we seemed to look very nervous.

overall, defense was the problem and the sooner we address this the sooner we will be competing more.

Agree defensively we are weaker yet Jorginho improved us by getting us higher up the pitch and getting our forward moving going.

As I said after the West Ham loss, this is chelsea, the ride is never smooth.
watford was a break from the norm...every other game has been tension galore.

usual positives and negatives highlighted. Have to say Gilmour and James look off the pace and opponents are targeting them. Jorginho isn’t long-term answer but is for the shirt-term. Gilmour has talent but the break appears to have negatively affected him. Doesn’t look the same player that took on Liverpool and Everton in March.

Phew. Nothing is ever smooth with this defence, it's not good for the heart!

Why we continue to persist with Christensen I have no idea. Got given a bath again by Benteke in the air and got sucked of position for the second goal and one of the late chances. Thank god for Zouma.

Attack wise we were much better. Never in doubt that we will score. Pulisic's goal was a cracker and Tammy and Giroud both put in good finishes.

Up to third but a classic Arsenal bottlejob means we are only one point ahead. I think it's between us and Leicester for the final CL spot. United have a much easier draw than both of us. Here's hoping we can get two wins from our next two and go into the last couple of toughies with momentum. Will be such a huge achievement for Frank and our young team if we finish top four! KTBFFH!

Christensen is the best ball player of the 4 CB choices which isn’t saying much. Would have liked cho to get 10 minutes at the end and take the pressure off Willian.

Another proper nervy game luckily got the win and a decent result in the other game puts us in 3rd, got to be playing better than that though and hopefully get as many points as possible from the remaining games.

Still can’t get my head around Christensen one game he looks like our best defender the next he’s woeful fair play to Zouma though between him and Willian was probably our motm for me.

We started the game practically winning, we reached the second goal, a great goal from Pulisic.
We ended the first half very close to suffering a draw with 2 goals.
In the second part, much stranger than the first, we hit the 1-3 in a good shot by Tammy.
And we ended the game with our hearts in the mouth with 3-3 so close to happening ...

Lampard doesn't know what to do defensively, he never did, this is the story of the whole season.

We have to hire a goddamn coach who knows how to put the team to defend or it doesn't help having Pulisic, Willian or Werner and Ziyech. Absolutely nothing.

We are an amateur team back there and the responsibility for that is entirely up to a coach who doesn't know anything about it.
And he didn't have enough clairvoyance to know that he needed an assistant to do it for him.

They really didn't.  They didn't score as many goals as we did.  Simple, really.

Our problem was the Zaha goal.  Kepa should have done much better, they had a couple of lucky bounces went their way in the lead-up, and he could take that exact shot 100 times and only score once.  Same as the Sturridge goal against us the other season.  People in here declaiming Sturridge as back to world class when it was a chancer shot that he got lucky with.

Both of them would be saved or miss 99 times out of 100.

As people said last night, Cech would have tipped it over the bar, Schmeicel would have caught it and Bonetti would have head-trapped it, bounced it from shoulder to shoulder and then cleared it upfield to start a counter attack.

Fun game to watch, going forward we looked like a team in the top 4, defending we looked like a team fighting for relegation. I don't think Palace were even interested in the game until James handed the ball over, and Kepa let that hopeful shot go through his fingers. It was embarassing for a GK at most level, let alone a world record signing. Christensen got skinned again down the by line, did not even make a real attempt and left wondering, how is this guy still our second best defender and keeps playing? In the dying second, he somehow let Bentake run around him, if Bentake was any half decent striker, we'd lost the 2 points. I don't care how good the guy is on the ball, he can't defend as soon as somebody is having a go at him 1 on 1. He's quickly taking up the void left by Luiz, minus the good quality of Luiz. We showed inexperience in closing off the game, attacking players  kept dribbling against 2-3 and lost the ball with 2-3 minutes left, really scary stuff.

Come on, admit YB - he's some player that Zaha!

It's funny we should have been way ahead, Giroud heads over, Zouma heads wide for the corner and Willian put clean through takes the near post and keeper saves a tame effort.

Zaha is left unchallenged about 30 yards out and lets fly. No-one challenged him perhaps because they doubted he had that in his locker, well we know now!

I think credit must go to Hodgson for getting them back in the match, they seemed to overload us down the wings and still get enough players in the box to worry us.

I thought we would  win and they would score so a small win on the betting.
