Commands his box quite well, he's quick to come off his line to claim crosses which looks to take a lot of pressure the defenders to deal with them.

Now as long as he can stay on the pitch and most importantly keep Kepa off it.

How refreshing it is to have a proper goalkeeper again. 

He had brilliant moments and the save at the end there was the cherry on top.

What a save from him at the end.Brilliant.

What a great player. I love his attitude and the command he takes - you can see him ordering defenders Around. Great saves also. We’ll look past the left foot mid kick - think this guy will be a fan favorite for years to come. 

He was there we needed him.

He was a bargain too, might just balance what we spent on Kepa if he is consistently this good.

 

Loving this keeper already, making a big difference compared to Kepa.

The defence look more confident with Mendy in goal.

If and when he makes a costly mistake (like all keepers do)it will be a rare occurrence, with Kepa it was virtually every match.

3 clean sheets already out of 4 games including games against Sevilla, Man Utd and Spurs, probably more clean sheets than in Kepa’s last 20 games.

Mendy was like a Black Panther. What a talent. This is talent people - something that we've actually seen. Not like with Kepa and his 'he must be good' doubt. :D

He has quite literally earned us a point tonight. Promising.

He was nearly signing on a couple of years ago, Romans signed him up and now we’re singing his name !!

He could have been sight impaired with Pistorios legs and still have been an improvement on Kepa. 
 

However, what a presence. I genuinely don’t even care if he’s poor with the ball at his feet. He’s been fantastic so far. 

Outstanding performance, just what you expect from a top keeper. God have we missed that... 

Funny what happens when you pick a goalkeeper who has height. Turns out they can reach and save things. 

Signing of the season so far. 50m less than Kepa. 🤦
