Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!

I’m at a loss to understand why either team would want the lazy fat lump, but I would love so much for this to be true:

No wait - forget about, Atletico and Barcelona, I would love for any two teams to rival each other for the signature of the aforementioned fat lump.

Simeone I can imagine it, he likes his annual expensive flop striker signing and he's took our last two.

Barca I just can't picture it happening. They signed a superior striker in January and Rom is the athesis of Xavi's principles, would make him and Tuchel look like a match made in heaven.

Please let this be true, we can spend the cash to revamp the defence

If we could get him to leave and get the 71mill we owe Inter that would do for me.

He'd probably do well in Spain or Germany. But I imagine the noise is being drummed up by his agent

I really love the way Kai is pushing Rom. This is how a top team should operate. Top player putting pressure on top player. What ever we think about Lukaku he is still a top player. On any given time he could turn his fortunes around and start scoring. Doesn't look like it atm but he is a very good player. He just happens to be in a toxic situation created by himself.

Was he? He scored a tap-in, fair enough. Had a few good hold ups. Other than that, still looked slow, never alert and with a terrible touch.

That's how I felt, he didn't really stand out and should be doing far more.

His goal was literally put on a plate for him by Mase, but he still looks far to clunky at times in his movement and hold up play. I just want to see him spin his man and go for a 1 on 1, but he just seems shot to bits with us in regards to confidence.

Two things on the goal Zeta. One he stayed on-side. Two, he let the ball run across his body and that meant he placed the ball away from the keeper. It's the way you are coached to finish close in crosses as a kid. Werner would probably have failed on both points.

Lukaku wasn't brilliant but I felt he had a decent game overall, and hopefully that will help raise his confidence levels.

Against tier two defenders,

Exactly, he looks cumbersome, Not particularly quick, and takes far to many touches to control the ball, Summation not what we want or need, Lewa a 10, Kane a 9, Lukaku a 5.....

His weight problem had already been identified at Inter and there are articles about it. Why aren't the club or Lukaku himself looking into fixing it? There is no way he can't feel the big difference in agility and acceleration.

What can the club do aside from providing a training and dietary menu? The fact that none of our players except him are chunky means that it's on him

You don't give Timo enough credit.

He would have stumbled into the defender or goalkeeper, and in doing so shin the ball into the keepers face, it would then have bounced back to Timo, who with the keeper on the ground with a bleeding nose, had the simple task of heading the ball into the unguarded net. Unfortunately, Timo then trips at the last minute, and only manages to skew the ball onto the top of the cross bar and out for a goal kick..... After which, the offside flag went up, so it wouldn't have counted anyway.....

Why doesn't he celebrate his goals?

Big fat Rom, he scored a goal, and afterwards, doesn't smile at all, he makes a mint from Abramovich, but all he does is moan and bitch....He hates Chelsea, he hates Chelsea, he hates Chelsea and he hates Chelsea....

Jokes aside last game he played for us he actually looked more lean to me. Almost like he did at the start of the season, not quite to the size he was at Inter though

Are you his agent? part of his entourage?

Give over, Absolute disaster this signing has turned out to be.

We should not be using 'hes lean' as an excuse, Modern day heskey lets be honest haha.

Probably about 20 other players that would of added more and cost less than half

hey ho, Onwards we march

Heskey was not a great goal scorer but he always worked his bollocks off.
