Lukaku lacks the talent to ever play at the highest level.  Neymar obviously doesn't.

I can't help thinking most of Lukaku's unhappiness stems from him not being good enough for United,  moving to a weaker league and his ego convincing him that he's improved and he's a top class player only to come back here and find he's still not good enough for the top level and not one of the best strikers in England.

I don't think he has the mental strength to accept he just isn't very talented.

Neymar has talent to spare,  the Premier league is less physical than the French league.

If (and it's a massive if) he's motivated he'd be fantastic but it's a lot of money for a player who's motivation is in question.

Less physical than the French league 🤨

Out of all of the top divisions in football, the Premier League is the most physical by far.

Only someone who's never watched the French league and has a poor understanding of the game could think that.

The French league lacks quality but it's much more physical than the Premier league and the referees allow a lot more physicality than the Premier league.

For a loan with subsidized wages, I'd take him in a heartbeat. He is a very polarizing player but there's no denying his talent and creativity.

No I wouldn’t! Tuchel will be ridiculous after describing his time managing him & his “entourage”. Anyone with knowledge of his “supposed injuries” wouldn’t touch him. He was out injured for 135days in 21/22, and 95days in 20/21. It is only going to get worse as he gets older. & like someone alluded to he is always “mysteriously” injured/suspended around his Sister’s birthday, and conveniently ends up in Brazil.

Physicality means more than just fouling players. Intensity is a physical part of the game too, and Ligue 1 doesn't get anywhere near the Premier League in that area. With Neymar's injury record, I would expect him to seriously struggle with this.

Ironic that he called you for having a poor understanding of football isnt it....

Neymar would not be a good signing, by any metric available, especially now as it has a bigger impact on our budgets than when Roman owned us. His resale will be low, his impact on the team will not be good in my opinion, he brings a sh*t ton of baggage on and off the pitch.

I think that he's the type of forward that TT wants to lead the line.  He doesn't want a target man, he wants someone who can play intricate football up top.  Lukaku and his feet of steel definitely wasn't a good fit.  Neither is Werner and his loose touch.  I wouldn't pay over 30m for him and his wages would absolutely have to fall in line, otherwise, keep it moving.

Yep often misunderstood when the PL is described as the most physical in the world. It’s a description that implies just how demanding the league is on the body. Power, pace, physicality, sprints, high intensity for 90+ mins all come into play. Very few gimme games! Can a smaller more technical player thrive within the environment? Of course, this is we’re resilience and mental strength step in. Players coming in from abroad have a particularly poor record when trying to ply their trade here starting over 30. In the main only the elite succeed. Could Neymar? A lot would depend on wether he could do it on a cold rainy Tuesday winters night in Stoke, the true test.

Neymar has been Offered to Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona, and will be offered to others. The transfer fee will be small but the wage demands will be huge. Any club buying him need to consider looking for additional club sponsorship to help with the increase in squad wages, and will need to think about any disruption it may cause. Barcelona will look to avoid the temptation for a return and look to much younger additions. Real Madrid see the add on costs of multiple intermediaries and representatives pretty obscene. I can see Newcastle as a viable destination. The player wishes to stay in Paris but the new "sporting director" and incoming Head Coach will be happy to move him on as they begin to reshape the team.

No, he would need time off for his sisters birthday and we would become Neymar FC with all the baggage that comes with him.

Even Tuchel said, when he was a manager of PSG he had to manage friends and families of players.

We missed our chance years ago when we were close to signing him from Santos. That was the time to sign him not now.

A lot of the "physicality" in this league is players like Tyrone Mings, Aaron Wan Bissaka and Harry Maguire flinging themselves at players to cover up an overall lack of ability.

The first two actually make tackles though!

I'd offer a loan, with a small fee and paying about 1/3 of his wages.

Would still be our highest earner. All fun and games until he mysteriously gets injured in Dec & his out for a month and ends up soaking up the sun at the Copacabana beach. Still a No for me.

Hugest no you could ever give to signing a player.

He perfectly fits the wrong type of player.

I'd rather have Tambling at 80 up front.

Lolsssssss. Roflsssssss. Neymar ain't that bad. He is glass but of a better quality than Pulisic. And he will score goals. My fear is that he won't be able to survive the hurly burly of the EPL but if PSG are paying 3/4 of his wages, I would take him on a season long loan  without any obligation to buy, sell Pulisic and send CHO on Loan to Nottingham for a season

I say no to Neymar, no to Sterling, no to Lewandowski and any other teams cast offs.  Find me the next Hazard, De Bruyne and Salah.  We've done it before and it didn't cost a fortune.  Lets do it again, just don't give it away this time.

You would have to sack the entire incompetent scouting department first.
