February 12, 20233 yr Potter says Cucurella has problems outside of football. Hence his poor play.Question is should he be on the pitch then? We pay most of our players 100k + per week, can no one else play LB? Bollocks!
February 12, 20233 yr After rewatching his defending for the 1-1 I think I'd rather have Marcos Alonso back.
February 12, 20233 yr Needs to improve. Offering little going forward and resulting to back passes, yet in defense he always seems to be out of position. Definite weakness, and we’ll look better there when Chilwell is back.

So can Hall. So can Dave.
February 12, 20233 yr I think he's another one of these blokes with busy hair. Savage was the same when pony tails were the rage. Hair flicking and bobbing all over the place makes the players look really busy, industrious and noticeable on the pitch when in reality they're just a bit pants.
February 12, 20233 yr For 66 mil I haven’t seen a poorer player.. he Punta hopeful balls forward in posession and is woeful and weak in defence.. add to it that he offers nothing with his heading ability.. he makes Alonso look like a 100 mil player.. poor scouting extremely poor by the club.

Yeah, re-watching some scenes of the West Ham game today made his performance look even worse than what it seemed to me yesterday while following the game. Not sure how he was Brighton's player of the year. I don't know what he is good at. He isn't fast, he doesn't defend well, can't really cross or pass, let alone shoot. What seperates this guy from say, Emerson? And to be honest I am not sure Emerson isn't better than him actually. They are both back-ups at best for a decent PL side. I don't see Cucurella starting in any top 6 side. How did we pay so much money for the guy?

All this is doing is bringing more pain to him from fans and the media which will create a spiral. This is definitely down to the manager.

TT saw we didn’t have the squad for a back 4 and moved us to a back 5 (eventually he got too married to it I think) 2.) when Reece got injured coaxed decent performances from CHO and RLC at wingback 3.) tactically outclassed Pep and JM and dominated peak pool under klopp by hiding Jorgi and using Kante and kova beautifully GP is just a poor man’s Southgate!

I was at the Bridge when Jorgi was booed and it was a majority, I didn’t boo him that time either because I don’t like to do it to our own players at the stadiums no matter how bad I think they are. If you aren’t behind the team, don’t f**king go to the games. Keep your opinions about the players and team for after the match and when the Chelsea is playing and you’re at the stadium, just get behind the team. Booing only affects the morale of the entire team and we don’t have much to spare.
February 12, 20233 yr I actually think he'd be more useful against better opposition. These low blocks are for Chilwell.

February 13, 20233 yr I still cannot believe that we paid £60+ million for this fella. He is so poor in almost every area of his game. defending (ball watching) is shocking, pace is lacking, crossing is abysmal and he has no idea of a pass inside the full back whatsoever. He is lucky that his former coach GP, is at Chelsea, because he wouldn't get any minutes playing for a coach who actually knows what he is doing. As soon as Chilwell is fully fit, Cucurella will get a long and well deserved spell on the bench.
February 13, 20233 yr He has to improve his positioning and composure. Somehow he made 2 assists under Tuchel so he had a decent start of the season, I agree that Chiwell should be our first pick for the LB position.

February 13, 20233 yr Cucurella has been incredibly average since signing him and looks like we spent £60m on a player that isn't better than Alonso or Emerson. Having said that the travelling fans shouldn't be booing him off the pitch, achieves absolutely nothing and will probably just affect him going forward. Hopefully not long until Chilwell is back in full time.

February 14, 20233 yr La Cucaracha destined to forever be mid-table 'talent'... and look where we'z at now... ouch bros

That's your teammate, any problems you have with his performance should be kept in house. Take it up with him, not go to social media and join in on mocking him, that's awful for team morale.
