Weird, dumb you mean - if he'd have been given 15 mins with Sterling on we might have got a goal...
February 19, 20233 yr Agree, I think Sterling should’ve come on cause he done some positive stuff, but don’t think David should’ve come off at all! Terrible decision!

I was all for accepting hard times, playing the long game and whatsoever but this sub just showed either tactical naivety, lack of courage to give DD more time and/or sub a senior player plus complete dumbness in one single move. I can't trust the process to a manager like a that and am surprised the board are willing to take that risk. It's one thing to get it wrong, but to be dominated at home by the bottom feeder team and then top it off by doing a sub like that? (And the conferences, my god) It's just too much. Anyway, Fofana was one of the few bright sparks on the game, even though all he managed to do was pretty basic all things considered.
February 19, 20233 yr The worrying thing is it seems Potter went for the easiest option by subbing the new young player. On merit, he should have stayed on. Was our best attacker. Completely baffled me. Mount should have come off and then where he played Mount second half just did not work.

February 19, 20233 yr Hopes it doesn’t affect his confidence I hope King Didder is having constant communication with him.

You have to smile ... we get our first decent cross from the left of 2023 and Potter has opted to have Mount at centre forward 🙂 Clueless. We could probably have fun having a new thread (titled Potty Positions perhaps?) documenting all these strange ideas. Sterling at left wing back and Mount at centre forward gets it off and rolling quite nicely ... He did this "putting players in weird positions" thing at Brighton as well apparently ... it's not clever, it's just stupid.
February 19, 20233 yr Man Utd 3-0 Leicester Big moment for Mainoo, substantial minutes as well. He is coming into the middle of the park at 17 years old, he has 10 minutes to find his rhythm and feel the game. Really good opportunity for him. That's how it should be done.
February 21, 20233 yr He need to go on loan either to another PL team or overseas. Right now his game is too raw for us.

True but with Aubameyang being frozen out it could have been construed as sabotage by loaning out the only fit striker. The question that should be raised is Potter's approach to Aubameyang for a person with degree in emotional intelligence
February 28, 20233 yr So? He has been decent for 45 minutes against Southampton then gets taken off at HT. Next game he is out of the squad. Are we trying to ruin his confidence on purpose? What is this?
March 18, 20233 yr Where is he? Has a really good 45 vs Southampton only to be unceremoniously taken off at the break and never to be seen again.

I watched and studied that 45 minutes just for that purpose and I just didn't see it. For me (atleast for now) this talk about D.Fofana seems another Baba Rahman situation, ala people so desperate to see the first choice in that position dropped everyone's overexaggarating the basics at best and seeing things that aren't there at worst. Pretty much agree. I didn't think that 45 minutes was all that impressive however he is a centre forward and we are horrendously lacking someone whose main job is to take chances. If he can't even get 25 minutes off the bench when we look as toothless as a dream blowjob then you have to winder 'what's the point'
May 2, 20233 yr Message to Frank. Right Frank. You've tried Old man Aubameyang and he has been even worse than he was before. He's finished Frank and even worse he couldn't give a f**kin toss. Please, please, please give this Datro Fofana kid a go. He is raw but is strong, has some pace and has looked keen as mustard when he has been given a chance. You and us have nothing to lose. Be brave Frank. Give him some pitch time.

At the very least he should have been Aubas replacement not Kai.
May 5, 20233 yr This signing and Carney's just shows the complete lack of planning from our board. Both virtually wasted a a season.

Put a footballing structure in place, which we were asking for during Roman’s final years, and has got Enzo, Wes Fofana and Badiashille, all of whom I’m happy to say are working out pretty well (in the context of a sh*t season). Theyve made mistakes, yes, but also are trying to do things and got some of them right.

The way you worded the question the answer can only ever be no. There is no 100% chance of success in anything footballing related. Enzo and Fofana seem like good signings at this point. There is a good chance that Noni and Mudryk are going to become starting-calibre wingers next season. Badiashile has been decent/good when given a chance but it`s concerning that both Potter and Lamps have frozen him out for some reason. Maybe not the right attitude in training? I don`t know. Regarding all of the management stuff (like Vivell etc.) there is absolutely no way of telling at this point. It´s really the manager decisions that he got totally wrong. Sacking Tuchel without giving him time with his signings was bad. Hiring Potter and Lampard was obviously a mistake. One can only hope that our next manager will do a decent job although to be honest the way things are going at the moment this will be a HUGE task. Even getting us back into top-4 next season would be an amazing achievement.
July 9, 20233 yr Quote David #Fofana, on verge to join @fcunion - confirmed! #CFC ➡️ Loan without an option to buy! Talks about the 20 y/o striker from Chelsea ongoing and positive. All parties involved are confident to finalize the deal soon. @SkySportDE 🇨🇮 pic.twitter.com/AlbfLnBS5Y — Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) July 9, 2023 Great move for him. Champions League football as well.
July 9, 20233 yr I don’t understand why we buy someone 6 months ago, then give a loan to buy option if true. Bizarre
