anyone watch sunday supplement this morning? gave us about 2/3 mins of airtime, and spoke about jose at utd, and how he's talking so confident about winning the league with utd as opposed to when he was with us. also one of the journos said conte looked really nervous and was bemused how conte spoke about not sleeping before games etc and how he should have been more confident like jose, but because he wasn't as assured they feel he fears he could get the chop. i really hope conte does well with us this season and gives everyone a big up yours.

It's a load of tosh. Conte has repeatedly said about fighting for the title.

Mourinho also will end up neglecting longevity because of his title claims. He did with us and he will with them. I suspect a similar end to his time with us.

Don't know what language it was on, but conte isn't as advanced with English as Jose is. conte may come off as lacking confidence because he's thinking more about the words that come out of his mouth instead of what he actually wants to say. Conte doesn't strike me as someone who lacks bravado

Kinda wish our plan was to move faster on signing defenders but it's good to know we at least have one, as someone else says I just hope there's a B,C & D just in case!

thought conte did everything right. west ham were never in the game and got lucky by a carroll dive, before that they couldn't string 5 consecutive passes in our half together. when that happened his 4-4-2 switch worked 100% (like absolutely 100%). having a true plan b is something i've felt we've lacked, and conte provided it the first game of the season.

 

oscar brilliant, matic incredible (especially in the second half) and kante very good. costa back to absolutely running 90 minutes bat sh*t crazy pressing like he was at atletico (and imo far more than under mourinho), and even hazard pressed and defended extremely well.

 

there will be ups and downs, but i don't fear for one second that we are behind in the manager race (unlike ie. arsenal who's imo behind city, united, us and even liverpool and spuds).

How has he not had an aneurysm yet. Dude is a nutcase.
