Oh fantastic :steaming:Sharing a single braincell during their hols, apparently. How long is the UK quarantine now, 10 or 14 days?

It’s 14 days, but this seems to be coming from the Sun and the Daily Mail, so I wouldn't panic just yet. I checked their websites and it's obvious they don't really know anything.

I see no issue with them going on holiday, they're all fit healthy lads and Covid won't kill them. Quarantine for a day or two until they get their results back then back to hard work. They've had a long hard season and deserved a break. Nothing we wouldn't do at their age in their position.

Good loan. Should get plenty of gametime and Everton could be a team to look out for this season.

Good manager there as well in Carlo, should be able to bring him on out of the Chelsea spotlight a little more.

Some people will see it as a "he's surpluss to requirements then" but I don't think that's the case. It's likely he can play much more for Everton than he can here, great way to get some experience rather than fighting for his place against 4 other defenders, 3 of which all have much more experience than he does.

I think it could also be to get him out of the spotlight which will be firmly trained on our defence this season. It would be a different story if we had at least one proven option for him to play alongside in the rotation.

Anything official about this? I'm reading that Lampard is hinting he (Tomori) is in contention for Monday's game

Why did we stop starting him again?

I still have a theory he was taken out of the firing line by Frank after a few dodgy games with some quite bad mistakes. Perhaps the thinking was to concentrate on his deficiencies in training out of the public eye.

Depends what Frank wants from his CBs really.

If he wants a more ball-playing CB who can come forward a bit and play some passes, Christensen is better at that. But Tomori is better as a more backs-to-the-wall defender who can get headers and clearances away from the box.

Ah, that's an issue.  Fortunately the other three at the back are ice cool.

No, however I remember several occasions last season where he’d literally pass to the opposition in a panic even though the player running at him is still 10m away.

You're spot on.  Bournemouth away was the final nail in his coffin last season.

Very encouraging to see such a focused and determined 45+ mins from him yesterday.
