Needed to win really, poor going forward today.

Really need to win our next 5 league games to put real pressure on the teams around us.

Barnsley is a good shout to be fair. But Leeds ship goals against any decent team and we couldn’t even get one. Really toothless in attack unfortunately, it’s a shame we probably won’t get Haaland as he’s the sort of player we’re crying out for.

Yes, that is also a factor, but has nothing to do with execution quality, speed and awareness. 

Selfishly because of my location, the early kick off games suit me for watching games live.

However, we always seem to underperform in this time slot.

sigh... that makes it really difficult for top four with our scoring record. Bit of a poisoned chalice to be asking to support either West Ham or United... neither... going to ignore the game.

Depends if both teams from outside top 4 win cl and europa league, then only top 3 from league qualify. 

Not entirely out of the realms given Liverpools position, and Arsenal and Spurs are still in europa.

we are allowed 5 english teams in CL, if an english team win europa and an english team win the CL and they are both out of the top 4, 4th place wont get in....spurs winning europa and liverppol winning CL this season means that 4th postion goes into europa league (because i dont think either of them are getting into top 4)

Going to be interesting to hear what TT has to say about today's selection and performance ...

There is a nightmare scenario in which teams that are not in the top 4 both win the Europa league and UCL. Only 5 teams from one country can be in the UCL therefore the team in 4th could miss out.

The race for Top 4 is going to be incredibly tight. Us, West Ham, Everton and Tottenham neck and neck with Liverpool following close behind.

Two costly points dropped, no doubt about that.

Back to the poor show against Southampton. Inside the first 15 minutes the opportunity was there through Pulisic and nobody took a gamble. Then we just continued the metronomic keep ball with no real urgency to break the line.

sh*t play like Chilwell overpassing to Timo and CHO to James at the end is frustrating.

A game there for the taking and we passed it up. I don't expect them to understand the significance of playing Leeds at Elland Road, but that was not on.

I'm not happy at all

Our finishing is shocking, regardless of who is playing. We’ve spent an absolute fortune on attacking talent and have so many to chose from and they’re all useless.

Whether Tuchel made unnecessary changes or if we’d still had Frank in charge, the BIG problem we have is that we’ve wasted an absolute fortune on below average attacking players. Pulisic, Werner, Zyiech and Havertz are all sh*t and are not going to suddenly turn into 60, 70 million pound footballers. Hudson Odoi and Abraham aren’t up to it either and Giroud is well past it. No coach on Earth, past future or present is getting goals out of that lot.

Kante and chillwell killed so many attacks today. Frustrating

Really pisses me off when I see us breaking, running at Leeds who are stretched, and the  see the likes of kante and chillwell take 5 too many touches and then play it back or sideways.

Momentum killers.

All well and good beating Liverpool but dropping points against Southampton and Leeds means that we're still going to rely on teams around us dropping points. 

I suppose my main worry is, I'm still not sure I see how we expect to score goals. I'm not seeing what we do in terms of build up that looks to unlock defences? 

Possibly the worst performance since Tuchel's first game against Wolves. Perhaps we were too preoccupied with the Atletico game around the corner but given our upcoming run of fixtures we've got to figure out how to score against stubborn opposition. 

This should have been easy win.. in my opinion Tuchel got the selection wrong.. we needed Tammy for this one.. with havertz/mount central Werner/pulisuc left and CHO/ziyech right.. we would have been much better..

Thought it was pretty clear today why Pulisic isn’t playing much, although the entire attack was bad. He’s just miserably out of form. In hindsight, I think we could have used Kovacic in this one.

Yes, it becomes an issue then, but at this moment, I am more concerned with the teams currently behind us. 4th seems the absolute best we can achieve this season, I don't think the squad has it in them to out perform Leicester and United consistently. 

Havertz should not have dropped deeper. It should have been Havertz top, Werner right and CHO left.

We have much better movement with Kai up top than Werner especially as Leeds got deeper and deeper

Still unbeaten in 12 games. We keep this up and top 4 should be sorted.
