January 15, 20224 yr Well, it's not easy to admit, but we lost to a better side. Probably the best in the world at the moment. And that is not a problem, the attitude is. We looked genuinely scared.

January 15, 20224 yr Weak and gutless, that's as shameful from the champions of Europe as it gets. How could we be that submissive in a game we had to win. For me TT got it really wrong today.
January 15, 20224 yr Not at the races today. That's twice City have beaten us far too easily - we'll just have to beat them in the CL again! We looked jaded - no wonder Mount was left out today as he was poor in midweek and again feeling the effect of too many games. Unfortunately those who did start just not good enough. Cit's league now - although that has looked the case for some time. Disappointing, but not totally unexpected with the injuries and tiredness in the squad.

Mount Pulisic Ziyech Kante are levels behind what they showed in big games last season then you factor in we don't have our main full backs and it shows. Werner up top in place of Lukaku wouldn't have made a bit of difference imo We constantly play positions out of position.. stick no 10's up wide.. Wide players as wingbacks and then pulisic was on fire on left so what we do put him on the right... Ziyech loves the right flank - lets put him on the left.. Tuchel has over thought and over thought and made this insanely more complicated.. Play a formation for which you have players.. We two of the best CDs in the world in Silva Rudi two great mid fielderes.. best young no 10s and competitive wingers.. but now we will play lead boot wing backs because we are scared of competing.. shameful for European Champs.. a lot of this crisis is our own making..
January 15, 20224 yr For the record, if they ever introduce retrospective action for diving/trying to con the ref - this City team would be missing players every week. Sterling and Grealish both apalling cheats, and the rest...
January 15, 20224 yr The extra rest they had showed. Although we need to start taking chances, think the season will continue like this unless we get a wing back. Lukaku poor again today, not sure he is getting himself back into our graces.

January 15, 20224 yr Created very little, but if Ziyech could pass the ball, Lukaku might at least have had a couple more chances. Still, the one chance he did get, he passed to an offside teammate instead of just shooting, so probably not.
January 15, 20224 yr I think today really highlighted how the injuries have killed us, namely the WBs. Our entire plan centered on the width that Chilwell and James provide. They’re infinitely better than Alonso and Azpi, not to mention far superior physically.

We should have gone 433, stop playing this wing back system that clearly only works with Chillwell and James. Yep. It’s not working. It hasn’t made any difference who is in attack. Still though, RL finishes the one on one right after the half or Ziyech hits the chip off the rebound then CFC has chance against a team that looked better at EVERY position on the pitch today.

January 15, 20224 yr Yup, I’m putting the loss today on Tuchel. He got it completely wrong, what on earth was the formation when Mount came on? Why did he start Ziyech and Pulisic with Lukaku? Why was Mount dropped? Looking at our recent fixtures vs City under Tuchel, surely Havertz is the answer, not Lukaku? He got so many things wrong today.

TT keeps rotating and rotating now he doesnt know his best 11.. his formation isnt wrking.. too passive..
January 15, 20224 yr I can remember when a side winning 12 league games in a row seemed an impossible feat - achieving it was celebrated hugely. Now, it happens every year. Just shows the PL is not a competitive league anymore.
January 15, 20224 yr Can we just get rid of Ziyech, Pulisic and Alonso and find some adequate replacements? Not just get rid of them, show them the door with haste. Azpi is clearly no longer suited to play on this level but I guess we arw stuck with him until James is back. On top of all that deadwood we have in the squad, we payed 100 mil for a season ticket holder to spectate games from the VIP lounge and his only good use is a shirt hanger nothing else. I am just fuming after this game, literally. We battered this lot 3 times in a row last season and now we are too afraid to put up a fight against them. I wont be surprised if we end up out of the Top 4 once all games in hand are played. P.S. The feeling of knowing Mourinho sold 2 players who are now literally carrying their teams and arw scoring against us on every opportunity they have, is simply marvellous.
January 15, 20224 yr You can tell Tuchel wasn't happy all game. The players were scared of losing so much that they kept passing backwards and sideways.

January 15, 20224 yr The Citeh has shown great respect to us and deserved to win…unlike their farcical attitude in Portugal night.

We are currently very vulnerable in counters, and we lose the ball easily due to MC efficient pressing. Losing 1-0 is mentally better than 4 or 5 -0. Lets face it - MC overall have much better players than we have.
January 15, 20224 yr 15 minutes ago, Scott Harris said: He's as guilty as any other attacker today. His touch has been atrocious, and he's failed to show up against a top team AGAIN. What is that, 50 in a row now? How’s he going to show up when our other donkeys don’t see the runs he’s making? Our wide players were totally hopeless today and are far more to blame than Lukaku was. People w**k on about signing a CM when a goal scoring winger should by far our top priority, I can’t stand seeing Ziyech, Pulisic and CHO stink up the place virtually every game they play
January 15, 20224 yr While we’re technically second in the league, a lot of teams have games in hand. Spurs have 4 games in hand on us and we’re 10 points ahead of them. All these dropped points are seriously denting our chances of top 4. We’ve got Brighton and Spurs up next week. We really need 6 points from them games - no excuses
