They have had a bid accepted yet. Last one was less than what we agreed. €60m in 3 installments. Rejected. Think Barcelona are hoping we pull out so they can agree a reduced fee. Not sure how long this will go on, but I think Raphinha will be more open to joining us when he has to report back to Leeds in a couple of days.

Barcelona no closer to a full agreement with Leeds for Raphinha. Joan Laporta says “no deadline” to complete the deal but Leeds have asked Barca to present latest offer by Thursday. Leeds have already brought in Luis Sinisterra to replace Raphinha and want his future resolved.

Made me laugh as well. 

I said a few pages back that I reckon Barcelona are betting everything on United buying De Jong, so they can amortize the 80m in transfer value + 75m in wages. 

Problem is, United don't want the 75m in deferred wages and De Jong doesn't want to leave until he's paid the full amount that was deferred to him.

Utd sniffing around Dybala now that his move to Inter is looking uncertain. I suspect his agent may do another round of talks with prem teams assuming at least one team makes an offer if he's willing to lower his demands. Thus giving other teams the opportunity to match or better the offer. My main issue with Dybala is his reported wage demands and recent injury issues. 

Those aside he is quite an attractive free agent, ofc he may not be suited to the Premier League, but at 27 on a free he still has considerable resale potential were a deal to not work out. I would keep an eye on him if I were TT and Todd no harm in testing the water.

Looks like this will be resolved in the coming days.

Leeds want an answer by tomorrow from Barcelona if they will match our bid. Barcelona wanted to pay the amount in three installments, to which Leeds told them to f**k off as they need the full amortized amount given they already made signings to Raphinha's replacement, Aaronson and Adams. 

We may just get him.

It's like Barcelona are refusing to accept the reality of their situation. They are delusional to think they can continue to operate like this, and their fans are living in fantasy land right now thinking everything is fine. The most shocking thing is that players are pushing to move there. 

Am I missing something with Barcelona?  This is one of the biggest names in the history of the game, their money issues should be one of the most talked about things in football, but the media and the likes of UEFA aren't touching it.

But is the type of player we want. I would walk across hot coals and give up one of my testicles to play professional football for Chelsea. Okay so maybe not the testicle and substitute that for a nipple but i would still jump at the chance, not join simply because the bent bankrupt team in a two bob league can't afford me.

Maybe the king can buy their training ground for 700m and then give it back to them as a gift.

Supposedly Barca still owes Dejong 16M in salary, and that's common across the team. How the hell they are allowed to sign new players even they can't pay players on time? They already sold 20% of future TV earnings for the next 25 years, so they are literally living on a payment advanced scheme. Raphinha should totally go there, and Leeds won't see any transfer money until 10-15 years later, if ever

Apparently Barca still owe Messi and Pique around £40 million each in unpaid wages!

So at what point do we just withdraw our offer because of this guy stringing us along?

Have you seen how every player prefers to go to Barcelona. It is a bit weird to be honest. 

I would really love Todd Boehly to come out now, today and say that our offer is officially withdrawn and that Deco is no longer welcome at Stamford Bridge or Cobham after his PROMISE to Barcelona that no deal from Chelsea would be accepted.  I pray that Barca fail to get the money for him, nobody else wants him except Arsenal for about £50 quid and he ends up getting relegated with Dirty Leeds.

Barcelona can't register Christensen and Kessie, I don't know how they're planning to sign all their wanted targets.

It doesn't change my opinion about Raphinha, if he wants to play Barcelona he should go there. I afraid that even if we will sign him and he will play good with us, after 2-3 years he will ask to leave.

All rumours around him been quiet in the past days, it's clearly going to be Barcelona or us and I have a feeling that we will take the win on him. But I'm not sure if it's good idea to trust the process with him.

In the real world, if a company was haemorrhaging money,  and was in huge financial difficulty that represented a genuine existential threat in the short to medium term ... you'd have to be borderline insane to give up a well paid job elsewhere and go and join them.

Does make you wonder wha the appeal can be for ll these agents, moving all of their players to a financially unstable, murky/corrupt environment. After all what could posisbly be in it for them.
