We are the stupidest club in the world" "We are a laughing stock" That made me chuckle evissy but a nightmare debut wasn't even necessary to realize we've been scammed by Brighton. How many record transfer signings have gone on to be a success at any club, let alone at Chelsea? Hope I'm wrong and he kills it of course.

I think Caceido will be a success on the pitch, as for the fee we’ve probably overpaid by around 30m.

He's not the first player to be thrown in at the start of a season with little match fitness. I think you are missing the point he clearly wasn’t ready yet some fans wanted him to start. He shouldn’t even be on the bench until he’s ready.

I think it was a bit of a PR stunt. A concession for the watching Eghbali. I think he'll be great once he has had a week or two to bed in.

He's only had 15 minutes of preseason whereas Lavia didn't play a single minute of preseason and the Championship. Liverpool/Rival fans getting giddy for no reason.
August 25, 20232 yr Still finding his feet but that was obviously much better. To be a bit blunt he did look a bit lost at times and at times he was hiding a bit and not really showing himself in the build-up but I do think he'll become a really good player for us,
August 25, 20232 yr Much better but still just the start. Long long way to go but certainly let Enzo play further forward
August 26, 20232 yr Grew into the game. That early first half moment when he spun and fell over gave me Bakayoko memories! He is quality though, and there is more there - you can tell he is holding back to not make a mistake vs. at Brighton he was playing on instinct. Some great forward passes though, including the one to Gusto to assist the second goal. Add to that in the second half 2 crunching tackles, a great shot block, and a constant pointing instructions to team mates - all what we want to see. Edited August 26, 20232 yr by PhilH930

As PhilH says in the post above looks like he was playing well within himself by just doing the basics. Not surprising reallyafter that debut!
August 26, 20232 yr Outside of the one stumble he had he was not noticed which is what you want from your DM which means the team is doing its job, he’s doing his job.
August 28, 20232 yr Definitely felt his way into the game and grew in confidence as the game went on. He can weight a pass which is a great attribute for the DM role. He looks like a proper player.
August 28, 20232 yr He did well on his full debut overall. I think he will get better as he gains more familiarity with the team and system.

September 2, 20232 yr Two massive errors already. He's underhitting the ball way too much and he was doing it before his mistake too. He is already proving to be an example of how tough it is for a good young player being removed from a side full of experienced pro's and placed into a side full of kids. These young players need help, but they have nobody around them to help them.
September 2, 20232 yr Yeah he had a decent game IMO, other than the miscommunication between him and gallagher that led to the goal he had some important interceptions and tackles.
September 2, 20232 yr He’s been ok but you don’t spend that much just for him to be ok. Any of the youth players we have can come in and be just ok.
September 2, 20232 yr Needs to do lot better. If we wanted a player to be OK, should just stick with RLC. Big price tag comes with scrutiny and expectations, it's the reality nobody could get away.
September 2, 20232 yr Hasn’t been a good start at all , two big errors leading to goals. That being said you can see some of his talent.
September 3, 20232 yr We bought the wrong player from Brighton. Should have bought back Gilmour who has started the season like a man possessed. Everyone talking about needing a progressive passer.... sold for 8 million and we'll buy back for 70... 100 million pounds worth of talent used to buy a finished article. a genuinely world class player of the Figo/ Ronaldinho mould. Now it buys you a teenager with 34 good games behind him, he has had a shocking start to the season. He actually, like a number of the 100 million pound kids need to step up very quickly to be counted.
