February 1, 20233 yr By far the funniest thing in all this is that other clubs have moaned so much that this opportunity (that has always been there in plain sight) is now closed to everyone. UEFA might as well said “go nuts for the rest of the month Chelsea, close the door behind you and don’t forget to lock up” Edited February 1, 20233 yr by 2211

Our club was in dire financial difficulties for many years in the past and we nearly lost our stadium to property developers, and played in a division lower with meagre crowds. But today it's different of course, but your club bought Enzo from another club, I imagine their fans weren't happy either. Thanks for your post though, take care Of course. That's why I called it a cycle and that's why I said that's how modern football works. It's a pyramid. And even if this is not the philosophy of my clube or values of foundation, I don't think many people would mind if there's someone trying to push us to the top of the pyramid. But neither the club values and context would allow that to happen.
February 1, 20233 yr Author Romano reported that Enzo always wanted to go to the Premier League as his next destination, but he was very sold on the presentation the club gave him. I genuinely think Enzo only wanted us which is why he didn't wait until the summer. Think he may be our "Guy" in midfield for this next era.

Just listen to those comments about Fernandez "He's a good midfielder, he's tenacious, he's young, he's brave"........he may as well have said nothing at all. I bet he hasn't watched a single game involving Benfica all season. If you asked him about Badiashile, the most he would have to say is that he's tall, strong and young.

February 1, 20233 yr Darren Bent reckons the best transfer of the window was Trossard from Brighton to Arsenal !
February 1, 20233 yr Mind you Bent just retorted to Andy Goldstein moaning about us.. " you would swap Boehley for the Glazers wouldn't you" ? Er, well, er, I'm , er ... It doesn't mean I want Boehley.." "Yeah but you'd swap them for Boehley ....." Yeah, but but er um um etc .

If Liverpool had signed him for the same cost he would have spent hours telling everyone how amazing a deal it was and he was worth every penny. Basically he's a bellend.

February 1, 20233 yr Lot of excitement on here, rightly so. Let's not set the fella on too high a pedestal though eh? This is a new team again, and a new league to him. Is not like bringing in Cesc who knew the league inside and out.

February 1, 20233 yr As a matter of interest do they still have signing on fees like they used to have. It used to be that if a player didn't hand in a transfer request he'd get a signing on fee of 10% I think. £10m before kicking a ball, that'd be nice.

Darren Bent is more level headed whereas Andy Goldstein doesn’t like Chelsea. I’d much rather listen to Darren Bent than Sky Sports golden boys Neville & Carragher.
