By far the funniest thing in all this is that other clubs have moaned so much that this opportunity (that has always been there in plain sight) is now closed to everyone.

Of course. That's why I called it a cycle and that's why I said that's how modern football works. 

It's a pyramid.

And even if this is not the philosophy of my clube or values of foundation, I don't think many people would mind if there's someone trying to push us to the top of the pyramid. But neither the club values and context would allow that to happen.

Romano reported that Enzo always wanted to go to the Premier League as his next destination, but he was very sold on the presentation the club gave him. I genuinely think Enzo only wanted us which is why he didn't wait until the summer. 

Think he may be our "Guy" in midfield for this next era.

Two things about Murphy, he's the most boring pundit on tv and radio and you can bet your life he knows next to nothing about the majority of our new signings. Just listen to those comments about Fernandez

"He's a good midfielder, he's tenacious, he's young, he's brave"........he may as well have said nothing at all. I bet he hasn't watched a single game involving Benfica all season.

Over the long term we have the best transfer in Fernandez, but i said the same about Oscar when we signed him, so wtf do i know.

Yes, if it was up to me.  We most likely have no Jorginho, Kovacic, Zakaria, RLC or Kante.  Leaves us with only Carney and Gallagher.  

Comes across as the kind of player that will just slot in like he’s always been there.

If Liverpool had signed him for the same cost he would have spent hours telling everyone how amazing a deal it was and he was worth every penny.

Just another bitter scousers lol!

As a matter of interest do they still have signing on fees like they used to have. It used to be that if a player didn't hand in a transfer request he'd get a signing on fee of 10% I think. £10m before kicking a ball, that'd be nice.

Darren Bent is more level headed whereas Andy Goldstein doesn’t like Chelsea.
