Any coach worth his salt can see this formation is madness .. but probably he is out watching opera. potter is the second coming of AVB .. brilliant on paper and a stupid experiment off it.

Dont get me wrong, Potter has been awful - but Tuchels head had gone. I think Tuchel had a better chance of turning around, than what Potter has though. There are no positives with Potter, no big wins, trophies, or even long periods of clean sheets to look to as a sign of things that we can draw inspiration from. He has been very unlucky with injuries, but he has to have us playing better than we are doing now.

January 8, 20233 yr Potter is letting the players get away with this. In the meantime he's probably giving his halftime mumble while the players checkout thier phones.

Today is a poor challenge a stupid handball decision and where 2-0 down game over But the players don't fight to get a goal back. Stupid and lazy passing by players, strolling around, silly flicks that go nowhere. I want to see fight from the players. Vialli died, a Chelsea legend, yet they are disrespecting his memory with this bullsh*t performance.

Today is a poor challenge a stupid handball decision and where 2-0 down game over I thought it was a soft decision to award the free kick and that was a bit of inexperience from Hall. At that point it was critical to keep it tight until half time. Instead our generational talent gives away a stupid penalty. He should be subbed at half time.
January 8, 20233 yr Shambolic. we spend a fortune and are worse for it. mount has been shocking too, mediocre most the time anyway so not surprised Thought at first KK was in his 40’s, now I suspect 50’s also as Germany found out at the WC that Havertz is not a CF, how have we not realised this yet?
January 8, 20233 yr What a difference having Jorginho out there instead of Zakaria, what a flaccid bag of sh*te he is. No other midfielder in this country twould bottle a 70/30 like this prick did. Edited January 8, 20233 yr by dkw
January 8, 20233 yr Woeful... They have to put in more effort it's like most of them are waiting for their pension... dreadful. Edited January 8, 20233 yr by Bebe1980
January 8, 20233 yr My respect for Tuchel is growing even more, he had the foresight to get himself sacked and get out of there with a bagful of money.
January 8, 20233 yr I really don't know where we're going with this. Looks like our players have no self-belief. I'm certain there isn't one of them who believes we can get back into this game. There's no fight, no leadership. Experienced guys are just strolling around, beaten and unbothered. What environment is that to introduce young players?? I can't see any passion or fight from Potter. He doesn't look that bothered that we're getting spanked. For me, he is the wrong man. Imagine Jose in a game like this - he'd have been prowling, growling, raging on the touchline and keeping players alive and fighting. Potter - nothing.......
January 8, 20233 yr While Potter can't legislate giving away free kicks and stupid penalties, his job is to sort this sh*t out and he can't even do that. We haven't changed the players mentality of playing backwards when the ball should / must go forward, Gallagher took the ball a good 40 yards up the pitch, passed it back and then it went backwards all the way to Kepa, some 60 yards back from where he started, this trait has been around this club since Jorghino came on board of keeping the ball regardless of whether it goes backwards or not; the problem is many of our defenders and midfield players haven't got the ability to beat a press or find a way to pass forward because no one in front of the ball is moving...all just walking around like traffic cones.....regardless of the injuries Potter has to motivate the players he does have...and he can't. If this gets into 4 and 5/ 6 goals he will lose the dressing room...then we know what will inevitably happens....and I can't stand listening to Shearer and Lineaker and co w**king over City

Might serve us well in the months ahead
January 8, 20233 yr This is one of the worst performances I have ever seen literally in the top 3 injuries or not where is the minimum effort.

January 8, 20233 yr Potter or no Potter - we only have three big players left, in Silva, James and Kante. ALL of the rest goes hiding when the going gets tough. Big, big clearout needed - and it has been for a while

If Mason Mount is really asking for 300k p/w then he should be let go. A sh*t version of Oscar at best. Geniunely don't think he'd shine massively at a mid table side.

The coach has set up this team to fail.. with mount and Gallagher the minimum you get his high pressing. By placing them narrow we can’t press them - further more ziyech doesn’t work centrally and get you put him there.. everytime we get attacked it’s a 2-v-1 with our fullback and with Jorginho unable to provide cover this is madness.. this is on potter who is out of his depth..
January 8, 20233 yr Whenever I see Jorginho & Kovacic as the starting midfield pairing I fear the worst. Piss poor along with tha halpess Ziyech and invisible Mount and Havertz.
