Youd prioritise him over Hazard, who was instrumental in us winning 2 league titles and the fa cup last year. Face facts, without hazard we are a very average team. Sometimes i really wonder if fans even think. Sarri has proved nothing in these 7 months to say we are improving, hes alienated all our young talent, but lets get rid of our best player to accomodate his system. A system only surviving because of hazard.

How has he alienated all the young players for goodness sake? He's played the youngsters more than any other manager we've had recently. As for Sarri not having won anything, so fecking what? He's our manager and he was hired to change the way we play football. Yet apparently instead we have to back the players over him, regardless of whether they actually do what he tells them? Nah, I'm sick of the players determining the direction of this club, time for the manager to be given the control.

Maybe but he's the best player in the league and creates the most chances in the league from open play.

Like I said previously, I think it's best to let him go in summer and use the money on one or two players to strengthen further. This squad has needed a freshen up for a while. 

I won't ever let him go. It will be difficult to replace him. Even with Marina in charge, we might end up with Zaha as his replacement!

Brilliant today, Hudderfield couldn't deal with him. He was running through the middle a lot too, he definitely wasn't as wide as he usually is. That must have been a tactical change from Sarri.

The 2nd goal was nice to see. That's the vertical run Sarri is looking for and the team need. Too often Hazard checks to the ball there instead of stretching the defense like he did today.

Do we think his form may have been affected by the transfer window.

It has just finished and today he has certainly delivered almost as he knows now the next window for RM is several months away.

For me, I think he was releasing the ball a lot sooner, not holding onto it for too long, and played a lot more "one twos" with movement into space, which is what Sarri wants him to do.

He needs to adapt his game to Sarriball release the ball quicker

Bit ominous that, surely if it was to sign a new contract it would be done and we'd have an announcement already? 

Looks like he’s off then. Reporters on twitter saying that if he was a new contract, we would know about it so they’re presuming he’s leaving. 

I cant say I blame him but also maybe it is the right time for him to leave. We have to be careful for what we wish for but maybe it’s time to break this squad up.

Oh well i never really rated him anyway.

Well we will struggle badly to replace the quality as we cant attract the very top level anymore due to the competition and such.

Maybe identifying the next big thing like we did with him (albeit multiple teams were in for him).

We will miss his skill and creativity for sure but it is what it is. Least we have had him for the best years of his career.

He's had over 6 seasons at the club and probably would have remained here had the board showed more ambition in the market, but It will be a weight off the club's shoulders once he leaves and we can finally move on and hopefully rebuild the proper way with Sarri at the helm. I just hope the board don't regress and actually do show ambition. With a transfer ban incoming, we need to invest very well.

I don' think we'll struggle personally. It just depends on the board's ambitions and what they are willing to spend. Roman might have to break the bank again, so hopefully his heart is still in it and he will do just that. With Pulisic coming in and Hudson-Odoi possibly getting the opportunities if Hazard goes, I think we'll be set. We might need to look at a world class creative player though.

Which of course he can do when there is a proper striker to work with, making runs, making angles, creating room to work and occupying the defence instead of flopping on his ar$e every time a defender gets near.

Still can’t see where he will play at Madrid. Tell you what might as well exchange him for Vinicius Jnr + cash.

Hope so. Maybe with the stadium plans on the back burner it would see Roman investing more into the squad but who knows what the long term plan is with us.

Ideally CHO would be staying and with Pulisic coming in we would have 2 young talented wide players to come in and freshen things up. £100 odd million doesn't get you much these days (if that's the fee Hazard go's for) so we would need to be shrewd on that front.

 

CHO/Willian and Pulisic/Pepe next season would be very nice indeed on the wings. Could even swap Willian but i'd be tempted to keep an experienced head.
