I'm over in Amsterdam for the Ajax game in a couple of weeks, really looking forward to see the Dutch football culture.

Prepare to be disappointed

Can't put my opinion out there cus its not shared by the majority? Okay pal.

Think you'd be surprised by how many English people would choose club football over the National Team too.

I prefer club football but that doesn't mean I or an even significant number of football fans "don't give a toss" about their national team / would turn down playing for their country as you suggest mount should do.

You'd be very surprised about the highlighted line.

As for the Mount scenario, go back and read it again. I was asked if i was in Mount's boots what i would do, i gave my opinion. Never suggested he should do it.

was slightly off color against new castle.. but back to his best again yesterday.. i think he was exceptional and able to take balls in difficult positions and drive forward... hardly gave the ball away.. the one area of improvement that i would want to see from Mason is in his final pass .... i think he has been largely safe with his options spreading it wider.. but i have seen a through ball in his locker in the championship with Derby which he hasnt used much for us ..  which will make him doubly dangerous as people will then be hesitant to close him down  giving more shooting opportunities...

The goals and assists may have dried up a little in comparison to the start of the season but his industry is so important to us as a team, he allows us to transition between playing 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 seamlessly and even with Kante away we dont seem to be getting outnumbered in Midfield.

He is turning into a midfielder I was hoping we were getting when we signed Barkley

Hopefully the injury isn't too bad, but he was struggling to walk off the pitch. I think the best we can hope for is a few weeks out.

Hudson-Odoi in for him and Pulisic to play through the middle seems like the likely change for us until he get's back.

I had flash backs to the medical team letting CHO walk off the pitch after his Achilles. Fortunately Mount didn’t look in as much pain as CHO was.

I was shouting at the tv when he was walking off. How hard is it for the physios  to carry him off just as a precaution. Pulisic to come in through the middle & CHO to start at the weekend.

Apparently it's better to make them walk off the pitch rather than be carried off. I don't know why, but I can't argue with it, I'm not a doctor 😄

Turning into a pacier Barkley.

Last few games he has kind of been non existent. Fair enough he pops up with the odd goal here and there, but so does Barkley..

I suspect once RLC and Kante are back and fully fit, Mount won't really get a look in

Hard to believe at times he's just a 19 year old enjoying his first season with the senior squad....... is he the best player on the pitch most games?  I should hope not at this point (or what does that say about the rest of the team?), but he's certainly been one of the most important parts of why this season so far has been highly promising and entertaining,...... and at 19 years old in his first season playing in the senior squad.... quite excited for what's to come with this lad if he keeps working his socks off.

Mount has already eclipsed Barkley's PL goal tally for us.

If Ruben was fit he'd be having some time out.

That is like saying if Kante was fit Kova would be having time out.

Of course if RLC was fit he would be playing. He is arguably our best player, alongside Kante and Jorginho.

Yet another genius sneaking back in after being banned and giving themselves away with the name and style of posting :)  Some of these teenagers really aren't very bright.  I blame Thatcher.

Sneaking back in where? Im confused.

Try to stay on topic, this is about mini Barkley who has been a ghost in the past few games and almost done nothing of note since the earlier parts of the season :)
