At this point I think I’d rather overpay for someone new this window and increase our chances of getting a top 4 spot.

Warner and Sancho are going to have a queue of clubs after them this summer and if we don’t make top 4 then our pulling power will be a season in the Europa League.

It’s a major risk if we don’t strengthen our attacking options in January.

A joke of a performance. 

Basically, all teams need to do is defend against us, because 9 times out 10, they are going to get a result. Pathetic from nearly every player on the pitch today. They never f**king learn though, especially the older players. They have had a career at Chelsea playing against these teams and tactics, there really is no excuse for them to have not adjusted to it by now. 

I blame Lampard for sticking with this dogsh*t Kante and Jorginho combination, but when it comes to the approach to the game, I blame the players. We see this every season. I could understand it happening once or twice, but for years now, every time a team sets themselves up defensively against us, we just don't play with correct attitude. You cannot win games where your winger that sees so much ball can't be bothered to take on a defender in 1v1 situation, you can't win games when nobody wants to play quick passes and make clever movements off the ball. You can't win games if you're not going to take shots. You can't win games with a slow and lazy approach. Hazard used to save our asses so many times in these types of games, now that he isn't here, it really does show how poor the others are.

Today feels like a game that will really bite us on the ass. This is by far the toughest period of our season, and we are going into it with a defeat and poor performance.

We've only won 5 out of the 15 games he's played in, lost 8, had a good win against Burnley when he was injured last week, and suddenly it's back to the sh*thouse, that can't be a coincidence.

Yes. It’s disappointing, I don’t get some of Lampard’s decisions, but reactions ott. Heat of the moment so understandable to a degree. the result obviously dictates the narrative so it’s harder to defend us losing vs drawing. But we’re not entitled to win/not lose games like these. So yeah - don’t  be like those arsenal fans.

Against the low block teams like this, 100%, we can't break them down at the moment, same old story, teams sit back and hit us on the break and keep getting results while we have 60% possession and create nothing out of it.

Disappointing result, and I hope Frank learns from this, Kante and Jorginho together really only works against teams that are more open, in these games against sides that are going to park the bus we need either the physicality of barkley or the direct running and dribbling of Kovacic, hopefully RLC comes back soon as well because Mount is looking tired these days, and RLC is our best attack-minded midfielder. Hope James injury is just a knock, he was our only threat all day.

I would write Ruben off for this season I'm afraid, it's going to take a while for him to get to grips of things on top of just getting back from injury and fitness alone.

Oh thank God fans are now waking up to this. My greatest fear his Lamps pressing the panic button now & signing Zaha for £80m.

We should have signed a LB, upgraded or loaned a “10” & moved Mount to the bench, and we desperately need a winger but nope he has been giving excuses.

Is he tired or is it a case of him not been creative enough? 
In a perfect world he should be on the bench, and when he comes on he should be playing deeper where he can see the game. You need to instinctive at the minimum to play where he is.

Mount overhyped.  Kante needs to play in his natural role.  Azpi is not a left back.  James quality.  CHO average today.  Tammy is not the guy to lead us in europe or in any potential title challenges.  Think he needs a better challenge than Michy

Squad needs additions, but probably wont this month

And to think i had someone on this forum tell me Tammy is in the top 5 strikers in the prem for overall ability.  f**k sake

When we play like Arsenal what do you expect?

So frustrating. All that possession. But in the final third we try and be too fancy. Little training flicks here and there. For f**ks sake, what about running fast, beating players, taking shots. No I think I’ll do another flick instead.

Spurs i will give you but please the Arsenal game was a similar pattern where we would never have scored again for all our possesion until Leno gave us a goal and gave us the impetus.
