No denying the new breed of fans are far more fickle though, including myself. But that's to be expected, I grew up through the glory days, I don't know much different. Managers coming and going is very common for me, even though there have been heartbreaks, Carlo and Mourinho twice.

Thomas tuchel played marquinhos, gueye, and herera in midfield for psg, 3 destroyers.

Sounds gripping. Can't wait for the fans to be allowed back at an average price of what £80 a ticket. We have 5 shots on target, all of which i would have saved, and they didn't even bother. EDIT: I have just read some of the other comments. Don't misconstrue that as a Tuchel bashing, cos its not. Nothing to do with the manager, I welcomed him on board and, in truth, nowadays i am not longer sure it makes a lot of difference. the product is as boring as sh!t. Too much emphasis on not losing rather than trying to win. Not just us, but Wolves as well. If i was a fan of theirs would i pay to travel all over the country plus the exorbitant admission prices to watch a bunch of blokes going through the motions trying not to lose. Sod that for a game of soldiers.

I don’t really consider myself an elder fan, I’m 30, I presume you are around the same age. 

I just think people have different views on football as a whole. For me football is all about the club and it’s connection with the local people, rather than expecting trophies every year.

Football is like a community for me, it’s not just about the football, it’s also about the people you meet when you go to football, the things you do pre match, and having Frank and the academy players was a really special time, it was the most connected I have felt towards the club for a very long time.

I know I’m rambling on now, but I suppose you could say I’m a football romantic, more than a fan who demands trophies every year / couple of years.

In my eyes, after sacking Frank we’ve become a global superpower again instead of being Chelsea FC.

You're exaggerating there. Jose 2.0 was way worse and these are completely different circumstances. We started playing badly as soon as we were made to play every three days. Up until then everything was looking positive, people were talking about chelsea being title contenders. 

Judging Lampard on Covid affected seasons is pointless... He effectively had no preseason with his new signings and hasn't been given a chance to coach effectively due to fixture congestion. I'm not saying he's God's gift and the answer to everything but comparing him to that Jose season is nonsense. After 14 matches, Jose had us in 16th place with 15 points. This seasons we were 5th with 25 points, and that's when things weren't going well for us.

He comes across very well. 

He's truly happy to be here. I'm excited to see what he can do in the next few months. Honestly, I thought he was going to be another Sarri (personality wise). Looks like I was wrong.

I do think you got a bit daft about Lampard sometimes, with the mercenary comments, the constant excuses, but I can understand it. You're passionate about it and again, it's a dream come true to have Lamps as the gaffer. I believed it myself, even though I always had reservations about him due to his lack of experience and CV. It was only over a month ago I said Lampard was doing a good job, and he was. But as soon as the players just stopped playing for him, reality slapped me in the face and I remembered why I was skeptical to begin with. I don't want to get on a managers case all the time and be gloomy "it's going to fail, only a matter of time", I would rather give them the respect they deserve and the credit where it's due when things are going good. 

Last season was the most fun I had in years following this club and I didn't even go to any games last season, it was something different, youth players coming through, Lampard the manager. It felt so much better, especially after all the doom and gloom beforehand and how everyone had us picked for a disaster season.

Liked his answers on the youth - I’m sure the club are reassured by this. 
 

Interesting that the club had made it “clear” that it’s a results business and he’s here to win trophies. On one hand, it’s great the club are pushing for always winning but sometimes I wish they would ease up a little. No club can constantly win everything every year. Maybe I’m just lacking ambition.

I have to admit that was a really positive press by Tuchel. Especially his comments on Gilmour.

He did. That and the FA-Cup he said as there are simply too many teams with a big lead in front of us in the league.

Yeah. it was a great press conference, I'm well impressed. Fluent English, confident, personable, very respectful towards Frank, said all he right things. Reiterated that there's no need to read anything into his starting eleven vs Wolves, said he wen't with experience because of the timing and lack of preparation. Was very pleased with intensity of training and attitude of players. Was very complimentary about Mount and Kante, and said nice things about Billy, too. 

It's a pity he doesn't have more time to prepare the team but I'm very excited to see what he can do with our group of players,

Hopefully now especially after his press conference earlier, our supporters will get of his back,he didn't sack Frank.The youngsters will be fine,and we will be after a few more games.

Getting good vibes listening to him.

Hope he does well and builds on from Frank's work.
