More than anything I think its a relief that we got back in the game. At one point it was looking like 0-4. The attacking blueprint from the first half was the we look our best.

Good performance - we can definitely build on that. If it was a Boxing contest, I think we got the Points decision after dominating the second half.

When the players get back to full fitness, plus we get Werner back in the match day squad, I think we'll see things get back to normal pretty quickly.

Positive - We didn't lose.

Negative - Man City are almost nearly out of reach now

Not nearly, I think congratulations to them are in order. They will never drop so many points that Pool could pass them.

Magnificent effort. The miss by Pulisic, then gift from Chalobah followed by going two down when we were actually playing well could easily have led to the sort lf collapse you saw on this forum. Superb to keep the heads and end the game with a point abd arguably the better side overall. Where was that energy in the last match?

Kovacic and Kante magnificent today. Faultless.

Agree with every word. A bit mystified with the Jorginho substitution which seemed to surrender the initiative. That aside we looked better than we have for some time. It is incredible the difference Kante makes to our team.

Kind of pathetic that one manager can dominate a league season after season, and  we moan about Bayern and Bundesliga. We spent £300m+ to compete with City and still can't.

It's starting to become a one team league. Apart from those two seasons where Liverpool competed from start to finish, City have been so dominant. How do you stop a team winning titles when they can win over 30 games in a league season? The simple answer is that you can't, not realistically.

Gutted to drop points as we deserved to win this and we needed to to stand a chance of winning the title.

BUT f**king great mentality from the lads to come back from such a perilous situation, something special will happening here under Tuchel I'm sure of it.

Not sure how anyone can question Tuchel, if he gets backed the same way Klopp and Pep have, then we will some team.

Deserved all 3 points.

Title race looks over, even a win at city leaves us with a mountain to climb.

Get him Kounde, get him good cover in the wide areas, pay Rudiger, and replace the under performing and unhappy forwards, with quality.

Would have taken a draw if you'd offered us it at the beginning after everything that's gone on but we deserved more in the end.

Think this has shown that the players are definitely supporting Tuchel over Lukaku and so they should.

Why wouldn't they? Tuchel made them European Champions.  What Lukaku have done for them? Played two months or so. Scored a couple of goals and disrespected coach, club and the fans. He needs some serious apologizing to do and start doing his talking on the pitch more than anywhere else.

The thing I don't understand is why so many teams just roll over for them. There is a whole second tier of PL sides that have spent a ton of money and yet play with such naivety against City.

They are very good, but they are not unbeatable ... as we showed in the head-to-heads last season.

That was a good game of football, regardless of the result

Overall we played well

Kovacic and Kante were superb

Pulisic improved...his first half miss though changed the course of the game

Mane should have been Red carded...if the referee thought it merited a card he knew just how deliberate it was

Chalobah is making a few mistakes now , though did recover his composure

I don't like to have a go at the player who equalised but for the second game running he failed to close down the player in possession resulting in a goal

We showed good team ethic, clearly, the Lukaku debacle hasn't been decisive on morale

One point should have been three...the comeback though softens the blow

That's because they have structure and totally back their manager. We on the other hand recruit players for 1 manager & then fire him 6 months later. This goes on & we end up with a haphazard collection of players. City buy the players fit for their style of play but we try to fit the available players in the system being currently played because none of our managers lasts long enough to build a proper team.
