If he arrives hungry to prove Arteta wrong, trains well, his performances on the pitch will prove him to be a smart acquisition. Then again there is the player within that stunk Arsenal out..question is, which one will we get? I am not sure attitude will define this signing. Neither Kai nor Werner has attitude problem but it is difficult to say they have been great for us. I think whether auba will be a success or not will depend on how we are going to attack this season. If we keep this 442 hybrid then auba will be fine, if he revert back to 343 and play him in the middle auba will suffer. IMO the one thing that make me think that he will be successful is that he has a very good relationship with Tuchel hence Tuchel won't play him in a role where he won't be successful.
September 2, 20223 yr Depending on what attitude he brings, he could do well for us or be just another annoying prick in the team. We will see soon enough. But a few years back I would have taken him without a doubt, great player that wasted a significant part of his career at a nothing club like Arsenal.
September 2, 20223 yr Fun fact, Aubamayang is our 7th number 9 since Franco di Santo. Franco di santo is younger than aubamayang. Edited September 2, 20223 yr by bisright1

He's a player who has had attitude problems in the past, be it being late for training etc. He has previously delivered in this league and should really hit the ground running for us. Providing he knuckles down and works hard I'm pretty sure he will be a success here. As for the other two, Werner was never really good enough and the jury is out on Kai.

Looking back his problems seem to start after 18-24 months at a club, which is pretty much perfect timing for us as we can tell him "off you f**k then" when he starts being a muppet.

September 2, 20223 yr Have a good feeling about this one. I fancy him to hit 15 prem goals this season. He clearly has a big ego, which hopefully means he doesn't bottle playing for us like so many before him seemingly have. He's also the best finisher we've had for this position since Costa. He doesn't have Costa's aggression, but the players around him should hopefully be able to make up for that. If we're moving to a 4-3-3, the left flank with him and Sterling rotating should have plenty of movement/runs in behind. Then Havertz/Mount/James can provide something else over on he right (if we play a 4-3-3 with a DM, B2B, attacking mid). Or we could play Havertz/Mount/Ziyech as a number 10 behind him, with DM + Jorginho, then Sterling and Pulisic (would've preferred CHO) as width. Either way, the deadline day signings give us plenty of new options as to how we set up in attack. Edited September 2, 20223 yr by Hessleboink

Doubt he will be ready for Tuesday but next weekend might be realistic. Initially people said he could be out for 3 weeks, but if he is happy to play with a mask then it could be sooner than that.
September 2, 20223 yr He's brave to take the number 9. I'm pretty sure he will break the curse. One thing about him is goals, he knows how to score and with Sterling together I can see him doing some nice things in front. He made a good and positive spell at Barcelona, all their fans were pretty mad to see him leaving. Let's get into it, good luck Auba!
September 2, 20223 yr High hopes that this works out. Conte signed Giroud when we were in trouble, Sarri Higuain and now Tuchel Aubameyang.
September 2, 20223 yr Very optimistic about this guy, talent is there, I also think it will be easier for him to settle and score as he knows Tuchel, as long as he is better than that big fat guy that cost 100 million he will look like an absolute bargain.
September 2, 20223 yr Yes it seems like a bit of a last minute"hail Mary" signing, and it probably is, but personally I like technically adept forwards with a good touch. It's often key to taking chances instantly. He has always looked technically sound to me in and around the box. Good luck Auba.

September 2, 20223 yr I've always liked the personality of Auba. He seems like a chap who cares but doesn't stress too much. A bit like Kai. He is a top player as well. Hopefully he can find the net for us. I think he might have a Giroudesque run for us in a cup this season.
September 2, 20223 yr Taken from Sky sports, Xavi is not so happy about losing him: " Xavi 'feels bad' over Aubameyang exit Barcelona manager Xavi has described Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as an "example for the club" after the striker left the Spanish giants for Chelsea. Aubameyang completed a Deadline Day move to Chelsea for £10m, with Blues defender Marcos Alonso moving the other way. The striker's exit from Arsenal earlier this year has raised doubts about the Gabon striker's temperament, but Xavi has given Chelsea a glowing recommendation about his attitude. "I feel bad because he helped us a lot," said Xavi. "He was an example on and off the pitch. He made a big difference - look at his numbers. "As a person, he's a jewel and always training with a smile on his face. It's a shame because you want to have these type of players in your squad but it was a good opportunity for him and for the club as well. "We needed to put the pieces of the puzzle together and in the end, I think we're all happy. But I feel bad as a coach to lose a player like Aubameyang. He was an example for the club and for all players.""

Mine is when he and Miroslav Stoch came off the bench against Stoke - got an assist in a 2-1 comeback win. Also, maybe a year or two after he joined Wigan, I seem to remember that someone figured out that Di Santo had the worst shot conversion rate of all forwards since the induction of the Premier League.

I remember that Stoke game well, it was one I went to with my mate instead of the old man and we always talk about Stoch’s impact. Di Santo however does not get a mention.
