I never fancied us at all, probably right up to the point Schweinsteiger missed, even when we equalised, even when Pete saved Robbens pen I just thought our luck was being used up and it would run out in the inevitable shoot out.

    One thing I hadn't noticed previously, was just how passionate RDM was getting at the players at the end of regulation.  He is bright red yelling at them.

     

    Also, Ashley Cole that night was impervious.  His penalty was magnificent too.

    I landed in Chicago an hour before kick off, went to an Irish pub and watched the match there, on a bar stool and the bloke next to me was born two streets away from me in Fulham. We were the only Chelsea fans in the pub, with a few Bayern fans.

    Absolutely trollied at the end, all the yanks in the bar were sending shots over, said they watched us the whole game and couldn't believe the way we were acting, must have looked mental to them.

    Had a massive bar bill next morning when woke up in my hotel. But was on a business trip so all on the company card

    At Munich on a vacation. Any bar I can watch the Prem opener tonight? Hotel is close to main railwaystation.

    Find an Irish bar or an English pub, there should be plenty. You might have to get the metro to Schwabing (Muenchener Freiheit stop).

    In times like these I think it's healthy for everyone to remember this match as well as that whole CL campaign. Absolutely magical. We may not be respected much right now but no one can take this night away from us. This was an absolute fairytale. I believe we were considered underdogs in almost every stage of the competition but we just kept fighting. That CL run has made me so proud to be a Chelsea fan and I still am and always will be. KTBFFH!!!!!
