Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

The thought of him leaving is making me tear up.

I'll be a wreck if/when he goes...

It sucks.  But no one else in the league had the pleasure of watching him play week in and week out.  We were fortunate.  And he leaves with a passion for us.

Cesc said after the match on BT Sport,

'When I came to Chelsea and saw Hazard, I said Hazard can be our Messi and they laughed at me.'

Eidur was equally full of accolades, saying he is the modern version of Zola

Absolutely gutted that this is actually happening. It was an honour to have had a player that special and it's safe to say that we'll never see a player of that talent at Chelsea ever again. It's rather rained on our parade a bit. Twice what Eden cost now gets us a Dortmund substitute.

I never thought we would have someone better than Zola all those years ago then Eden showed up as a raw talent.

We will not atttact the finished product like a prime Hazard but a young guy like he was with huge potential? Entirely possible imo if we do our scouting correctly like we have done in years gone by.

Huge honour having him at our club for 7 years and watch him grow to an elite player.

And yet almost twice what that Dortmund substitute cost us we get back for our player of 28.

He's been fantastic for us, so we're sure going to miss him!!  However, this is part of football and we've seen other greats eventually end their time at Chelsea. Once next season is under way, i'll be thinking about what lays ahead for our team, not who's not there now. Thanks for the memories Eden.

He leaves with my blessing after tonight, I can’t beleve it will happen but Eden you leave with my blessing xx what a king a I feel lucky you played for my beautiful club.

THE KING X

It's sad to see him go, because as Cesc said tonight it shows we now have a ceiling. We can't attract or keep the best, because we aren't at that level at the moment.

I wish him all the best and hope we get back to the level that made him choose us in the first place.

I absolutely adore the man. Goes down with JT, Lampard, Drogba and Cech as our greatest five players of all time for me.

Gutted that he's leaving but I don't begrudge him it at all, he's earned it.

Thank you, Eden ?

Assuming he is going what a way to sign out.

For all we know this might be the pinnacle of his career it might not go well on his next stop.

What it also says about us for any wannabee young star is, Chelsea is an ambitious club and that after having done your shift we will not hold you back.

Sorry to go against the popular opinion but I have to say

legend no ! A legend will give his all to the club no matter what, there have been times when he has not done that.

However a great player and I thank him from the bottom of my heart for all he has done for the club !

let’s move on ...........

Even Drogba didn't give his all in every game, and nobody ever questions his status as a legend.

The fact is that Hazard has been our star player every season since he joined and a major contributor to the trophies we have won in his time with the club. If that doesn't elevate him to legendary status, then nothing does. I would go as far as to say that without Hazard, there is a high chance that we wouldn't have won a single trophy in that time, especially the league titles and last seasons F.A cup.

Absolute bollocks from Cesc, he annoyed me so much with that comment. Real aren't in a great position themselves and the Premier League is now the place to be so we could see a future Balon D'or winner.

If we strengthen correctly we are more than a force.
