February 24, 20197 yr I just got the chance to watch the end of the ET & pens just now. I honestly can’t beleive Kepa just done that, needs to be fined a months wage that level of dissent is f**king inexcusable, I don’t care what the opinions on Sarri are, that is unacceptable for a professional footballer and then to chuck in Agueros pen is embarrassing. Total disrespect to Sarri & the club. I can see why people are talking about selling him we’ve had an issue with player power before. This needs to be stamped out this time. Jorginho should never take a pen again, unless you’ve never seen his penalties before they are sooo easy to save. No power and always just rolled to one side of the keeper. February 24, 20197 yr Zinchenko should have had a red card in the first half. To compound this he was guilty of so many fouls afterwards. Luiz first challenge and he saw yellow. The officiating was very poor today and I don’t understand why VAR is used for some things and not others. loved our second half performance and thought Sarri got it spot on. Very proud of the team tonight. Now let’s go on a run starting with the Spuds!
February 24, 20197 yr FFS 120 minutes of doing exactly the right thing then that f**k Up which feeds into every 'Player Power' narrative the Media has about Chelsea. Kepa needs to apologise to Sarri quickly and then be dropped from the First 11 ASAP. Can you imagine that happening under Conte or Mourinho? No chance. Embarrassing and humiliating for the Manger (no matter what you think of him).Completely unacceptable from Kepa. I'm furious.
February 24, 20197 yr Watching the highlights of the match again and that second half we dominated them. Kante's chance from the cut back from Hazard was a fantastic chance, just hit it too hard. The Hazard chance called offside. The Pedro chance where he should have taken a shot rather than pass it. Arrgghh, so many frustrating moments where we could have won this game. On a different day we could have won this match 2-0 or 3-0. Edited February 24, 20197 yr by enigma
February 24, 20197 yr Just got in. Great day out. Supurb Chelsea support . Team played well with loads of fight shame about the penalties but on another day we would have won it. Loads of noise from the Chelsea boys and girls well done.
February 24, 20197 yr Great performance, great support, shame about the result and the sh*t from Kepa at the end but proud of the team today on to the next one UTC.

February 24, 20197 yr Great performance, significant step in the right direction after the thumping we received at the Etihad. Disappointing not to win the penalties but it's always a 50/50. The Kepa scene was regrettable, but I don't see either player or manager dragging this out, it'll be dealt with and forgotten quickly. Players, fans and coaches should be proud of today. Statement that we're continuing in the right way for me. Still fancy us to push on in the Europa League and make a late challenge for top 4. Considering how many obstacles we've faced this season - extremely limited pre-season prep, an owner unable to enter the country and a massive playing style change - we're doing pretty well despite the popular media narrative. Still excited for the rest of this season and beyond.

February 24, 20197 yr And I thought only ManU fans were turds. I guess each team has its idiots. Now I know why
February 24, 20197 yr Calm down dear, you’ve just barely won the milk cup on penalties. Come back when you’ve got a European Cup.
February 24, 20197 yr Proud of the performance but obviously gutted losing in that way. Thought we looked so much better when CHO and RLC came on. We really have to find this level of performance on a more consistent basis. As regards to the Kepa situation it was totally unprofessional and embarrassing. Whether Kepa thinks it’s a misunderstanding or not once your number comes up you come off! Did he not think this could have been tactical? Willy is known for his saves from pens and knows the City players. Imagine if other players start refusing to come off? Kepa needs to be fined and dropped for at least one game and issue an apology (which I think I he already has). What I don’t understand is where was our captain when this was happening? Dave should of stepped in and got him off.
February 24, 20197 yr It is obviously a teenager who got overexcited. A few years ago he most likely supported ManU, and now he jerks off over Man C exploits. Just a silly boy with inferiority complex.
February 24, 20197 yr Thoughts on Kepa, some of you have said he was signalling he didn't have an injury at first, I agree. Luiz spoke to him hand over mouth and probably said about they want, 'Willy C. for the penalties'. He probably thought, 'Eff that, I am the most expensive keeper in the country and have kept City out for 115 mins now let me deal with the penalties'. I know a couple of Spanish and pride can be a big thing and if he was not told about that switch BEFORE the match, then in the moment his reaction is understandable, though not professional. Another take away re City that I think the refs need to take action on. I noticed this when we played City in the league with Sterling running into the back of our player using his forearm to push him off balance. Similarly today the Russian named player was literally hanging over our player as though trying to force him to fall over, at a certain point these MUST BE fouls. Similarly today the Russian named player was literally hanging over our player as though trying to force him to fall over, at a certain point these MUST BE fouls. I don't think it was a tactical decision. If it was, he would have had Caballero warming up, he only asked for Caballero when Kepa went down with cramp. It's also incredibly rare for a manager to change their goalkeeper just for a penalty shoot out. I have only ever seen it done by Van Gaal with Holland. Also, Kepa won us a penalty shoot out to get to the final, so there was no reason for Sarri to believe that Kepa wouldn't be good enough to do the same in the final.
February 25, 20197 yr Thoughts on the game: Everybody on the pitch played well. Barkley and Pedro were a bit non existent in terms of the game however they tracked and defended well. Special mentions to Hazard, Kante, Emerson and Jorginho who were brilliant. Defence was pretty assured so kudos there. Props to Sarri for the line up and some very good in game management. However, lets talk about that disgraceful decision right at the end of the 90 minutes when Ruben played Hazard through on goal. The linesman raised his flag when it looked borderline onside with Hazard baring down on goal against Ederson. Rewind to the last round, same area of the pitch, same stadium, different team and different call. The linesman kept his flag down for Kane, he gets fouled by Kepa and Spurs end up getting a penalty through VAR and score. This is where I feel like we don't get the rub of the green with the officials. It's been overshadowed by the Kepa situation and the end result but this to me proves that the officials have no clue what they're doing and they almost pick and choose who they give the decisions for. He keeps his flag down, we all know Hazard is rounding Ederson and putting that in the net. Then put it to VAR. Joke. Congratulations to City, thought both teams gave their all.
February 25, 20197 yr Jorginhos penalty was awful, does he take all his pens like that? It's not going to take long for keepers to work those pens out if your a one trick poney. I just hate giving away easy pens like that, Luiz was a good pen and just unlucky. Aguero probably hit the worst pen of his life and got away with it.
February 25, 20197 yr Man if all players were barred from taking penalties for life after missing one there would be none left to take them.
February 25, 20197 yr Would kepa have been told before hand that if it was close to pens he would be subbed. Sari saved a sub for that reason. David luiz was to soft with him, Who would have thought this game will go to shootouts? Am not sure we had it in mind before the game.
