This is Chelsea being Chelsea, we just don't convert enough of the chances to be able to endlessly pass and not take shots. In the game of football all the stats we clearly win at don't matter, the only one that does is the goals.

 

I can clearly see us having a terrible end to the season with us having lost the FA Cup I can see us dropping out the top 4 and losing the Champions League final as well unless these players get more energetic and convert more chances. 

I want to see the tape of Chilwells "offside" from the VAR-angle.

And stop the ball when Silva actually makes contact with it. Bet you Chilwell is onside!

How can Oliver give the handball in the first half when the ball is hit on Silvas hand point blank yet miss the one by Perez, absolute disgraceful officiating in the final once again.

The problem is not people writing stuff like this in the forums. The problem is our players not going into this game with the same mentality they had when playing vs. Real Madrid and Atletico. I never got the feeling that they really wanted it today. It felt more like a PL game of average importance than a cup final. 

Well done Leicester.  Deserved winners.  We got what we deserved.  Left talking about the same things.

- Kepa.  Doesn't matter, we lose more games when he plays.  Not sure Mendy saves that; great strike.  But still dives with his shorter arm
- Keepers - Schmeichel showed why a true no.1 GK is important
- Complacency and lethargic.  Just too slow to get the ball forward
- Final third quality.  Corners that go out for GK.  Crosses that go out for throw-ins.  Shots that aren't on target.  We are not a goal threat
- VAR.  Was it a handball.  Was it offside. Honestly I don't really care as all the above was our undoing anyway

To be it all boils down to mentality, or lack there of.  This is a nearly team, and very predictable.  As soon as Leicester scored turned to family and noted we'll have our obligatory post hit, save and disallowed goal.  So predictable.  I just don't think this team has the mental strength to win when it really counts.

Poor selection also.  Just sends the wrong message.  Chilwell has been so in form; why isn't he starting.  The front three look like they just met today.  Could go on, but not worth it as I'm not sure they really are that bothered.

As soon as I saw the VAR pictures I thought this is 50/50.

A VAR decision to go our way to deny Leicester a FA Cup win, no chance.

But TBF we are so limp in attack when they scored my first thought is how on earth are we gonna score 2 goals in 30 minutes.

Getting it to extra time was the most realistic outcome.

We didn’t deserve to win, the intensity only ever increases when we fall behind and it’s down to the last 10 minutes.

Serious surgery needed in the summer.

Considering we’re in the champions league final season this year people do give a crap about top 4 because we wouldn’t had been there if we finished out of the top 4 last season.

Had we won today and lost on Tuesday, as good as today would've been, the sick feeling of losing out top 4 and potentially city will hurt for a lot longer. If we get top 4 and still lose the CL, at least we can have another REALISTIC crack next season.

I too am not fussed about this loss. Well I do have a bitter taste from that offside goal but before that I accepted defeat. Won't be losing any sleep.

Clearly not. Did VAR check the handball? It didn't. Was there a screen showing potential handball? If it did then I missed that.

On the bolded part, no sh*t. Everyone knows that. 

Arsenal and this game are mostly on Tuchel. Such critical time of the season and he is rotating like crazy and disbalancing the team.

Our goal wasn't offside at all. It was a clean run by Chilwell.

At some point the second half the stats showed we had made something like 432 passes to Leicesters 200. That may give some fans a hard-on but what is the point? Where does it get you? Tippy-tappy, pass pass, sideways, backwards, little bit forward then back again. Only Just hopw we time we looked threatening was when Mount got the ball but he faded second half bar the one great shot.

Just hope we are a bit more on our game two weeks from now, cos if we play like that, City will batter us.

This sounds like another modern footballism. Recycling possession? I never remember people saying that about Ballack, Essien, Lampard, Makalele and so on. Jorginho is simply bang average nothingness. City fans still assume it was a hoax that they were linked with him.

We are talking about a higher ceiling. Of course our team has a higher ceiling, there's no way that Leicester team is making the Champs League final. But the strongest team in paper doesn't always win.

If you're giving me a straight swap between 4th and no silverware or 5th and an Fa cup, then it's Thursday night for me.

I dont know if it's already been said I missed a few pages whilst having a little tantrum but can someone spare a thought for poor old @Eight Times.

This is the real disappointment about this result. Still stuck after all these years, sorry mate

I hate this f**king feeling man, I wish we weren't in the final at all if it had to be like this. Cheated again

- We don't have a proper striker, we don't have enough confidence in front and as a team we don't have a player in front that we trust to make something in front. I'm taking about long range shot, testing the goalkeeper, be there for the 2nd ball and jump on every ball in the box.

- Lack of winning mentality, ability. Leicester wanted more than us, because that they won every air ball, every battle and they made us play like it's 0-0 and we only have started the game. We weren't there for the chances, we didn't even shoot enough out of the box. Just look at Tielmans's goal. We created two big chances and they happened because we were there for the second ball and we played quickly with a good movement and were aggressive towards the ball.

- It's easy to close the game against us. Arsenal closed us for 90 minutes, Leicester succeed to keep their lead immediately after the goal. Whole team defending against us and we're struggling to create something. We had one big chance by Mount and the goal but came from offside. Our offensive tactic against very defending teams is struggling and I fear that every team might success to get points from us if we will continue in that way.

- We've lost our two last games, we're entering into the final games and they're most important for us to get something from this season. One final is lost already, we still have another one. We have two games in the league to secure our position in top 4, and we aren't looking good. We fail to score in our last 2 games and we conceded / lost the games.

Awww come on JM. If we go on like that we might as well play kids and get knocked out of the FA Cup at the first opportunity . Top 4 means nothing unless we win the Cup. It's really just another UEFA money spinner.

Glad to say I don't feel the same. Today is a final top 4 isn't.
