Different rules at those clubs. The players at City know Pep is king and they best not cross him.

Klopp is a God to Pool fans after winning both the CL and league title. He has a job for life.

TT is just the latest to hold the temporary Chelsea post, and the players know they can shift him as they always can as their opinion matters more than the managers to Roman and the board.

The 2 clubs that have won the league most recently, looks like success is what keeps you from getting sacked as a manager. There is no evidence that anyone is trying to do that to Tuchel though, if not for all of the viruses and injuries I'm sure we wouldn't be 9 points behind Man City right now. The players know that we're closer to Man City now than any other time in the past 5 seasons.

On reading more snippets of the interview,  I think he was taken out of context. He should have never agreed to do the interview in the middle of the season though.

Of course it’s all out of context. Ex player talks about ex club and gives glowing review. Why wouldn’t he if he has enjoyed his time there. Would you like to return? Why not say yes…it plays to the masses. How many times did hear interviews given by Drogba whilst he was with us regarding Marseille etc? It’s all part and parcel of the game, most taken out of context though also plays to their egos. As long as he gives his all on the pitch for us who cares what he says? Most footballers are egoistic pricks at the best of times, and the coaches know this too.

No not yet. Media are showing seeds for it though.

Someone else has put a different version on twitter.

@patrickendrick: Lukaku: “I’m not happy with the situation and that’s only natural. The head coach has decided to play a different system and I mustn’t let up, I need to keep working hard and be professional. I’m not happy with the situation but I’m a grafter and I mustn’t let up” https://twitter.com/patrickendrick/status/1476644467927101450/video/1

@patrickendrick: Lukaku: “I hope from the bottom of my heart that I can one day go back to Inter - not right at the end of my career but when I’m still at a good level so we can hopefully win more [trophies]” https://twitter.com/patrickendrick/status/1476660786059792385/video/1

He is bound to be unhappy as EPL is not easy as Serie A.

Hope he keep working hard and be a top striker in the best league.

Or how about a reunion with his beloved Conte at Spurs.. Harry can come our way as a swap..

It’s not happening to City & Liverpool’s players, this is the crux of the issue, why must WE have to be a circus, why Chelsea. Didier shouldn’t have said that either, but the two wrongs don’t make a right as the saying goes. And sure, fine to speak kindly of a former club but with all the media training these days, at no point should you be agreeing to any idea of “returning in your prime” at 29 years old under a fresh 5 year deal. 😅

I’ve stood up for Lukaku on here more than most when people were writing him off on here after five minutes…can’t defend him tonight…a prize prat and you’re naive if you fall for the ‘It’s an interview from three weeks ago’ defence. He was moaning about his situation at a time when he’s not scored for two months and been injured..bizarre to moan about being unhappy about his situation.

I don't know if he is still about but our resident expert on all things from Belgium, @Krc-fan, what is going on here?

I am not the guy you are looking for, but I am a fellow country man and KRC Genk fan just like him.
Belgian media pretty much took it over from Fabrizio his tweet with research. So not much news apart from the same sensation in the Sun, Daily mail,…

Rom has been credited as a leader, this could be the beginning of players turning on TT, with trusted members like Dave and Toni off.

I'd much rather kick Lukaku's fat arse all the way back to Inter than sacrifice a world class manager in TT. Not happy with the system? Learn to play football better you twat. We're current European champions, what has this lump accomplished in his career to expect the team/manager to adapt to him and not the other way around?

I honestly don't give a damn about this kind of interview. All I care is what they do on the pitch. Eden has said that he wanted to leave for a long2 time. LoL even Drogba said that he wanted to leave.

Player come and go. If you are under contract,do your best and if you want to leave it has to be under Chelsea term.

If you are out of contract you are free to leave. It is as simple as that, in the end football is still a business.

“Now it’s the right time to share my feelings. I have always said that I have Inter in my heart: I know I will return to Inter, I really hope so. I am in love with Italy,

So us f**king mugs paid £100,000,000 for him £250,000+ per week plus bonuses for 5years!!!!

“I really, genuinely from the bottom of my heart hope to come back to Inter, not at the end of my career, but while I am still at the level to win more trophies.”

So not the full length of his contact he wants to leave while in his 'prime' And inter will offer 5bob for him.

DO ME A FAVOUR AND f**k OFF NOW

Belgians and opening their mouth too wide to the media. Name me a more iconic duo.

Bit of a running joke in the Netherlands that Belgians are a bit thick. The Belgians that have played for us kind of confirm that 'joke'.

Now basically we have to give it to him, perhaps sacking TT as well, or end up with our most expensive signing every becoming a sulky huge flop...

It's never dull being a chelsea fan lol.

Diego Costa still helped deliever titles despite wanting to go, Hazard wanted out but gave us his best season yet in the meantime. Even Courtois gave his all while he was still here.

If he knuckles down and delivers while he's still here he'll leave when he does with my best wishes, history suggests he won't.

Yeah he did and when he came back into the fold he did well. It’s more so the surprise of this coming out, Costa situation is a good few years ago now so I could be wrong , but wasn’t it a shock that he wanted to leave all of a sudden as well?

Conte didnt have much choice to bring him back in for the remainder of the season before shipping him off, there could be some parallels here with Tuchel.

Unacceptable to say this stuff in an interview. Keep it behind closed doors. Aome people are playing this down and saying the media are hyping it up, but regardless, he said what he said while being at Chelsea for less than 6 months.

It's no way to get the fans on your side. What a f**king donkey. Says he's a professional, but this sh*t isn't professional or respectful to the new club or fans who have been nothing but supportive of the guy since he got here.

It’s funny you always get those ‘copy & paste’ posters with their “its all a business who cares’ posts, boring and illogical comparisons too, like Eden comments or Didier. Lukaku has done nothing on his return to have built up any equity with the fans for something like this 2 seconds into a 5 year deal.

Very disappointing comments. A real kick in the teeth for those who have backed and supported him unanimously.

What rubs salt into the wound is the club spent a fortune to bring him back.

Lukaku was in the media just before we signed him saying he anted to stay at Inter.

5 mins later, Inter interested in cashing in - and Lukaku is happy to leave...

5 months later, having achieved sweet FA at Chelsea, he is in the media, saying he wants to go back to Inter, whilst still in his prime.

The lad is a brain dead twat. Whenever this interview took place, it is absolutely disrespectful. I highly doubt he genuinely wanted to come back at all, probably pushed out the door by an Inter team who were desperate for the cash.

Yeah I was one of those who said media making hit of a big deal out of it. On second thoughts and reading some of the other comments, I’m rethinking that somewhat. It is pretty rank and just so stupid. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see him rowing it back anon in the media, but it will be managed and hard to gauge what he really thinks.

@axman2526 I don’t think Lukaku will be leading a player revolt. TT holds a lot more sway over the players and i dont see that changing. You catastrophise too much man 🙂

Seems to be there is a pattern, leaves Chelsea for Everton, 'Some day I will go back to be Chelsea's best scorer'

Leaves Milan for Chelsea, Lukaku injured and Havertz leading the line as we are top of the table, 'I would love to play for Inter again.'

The chap might just be insecure, let's see how we does on the pitch and judge  him there.

The last two matches he has done well and that is after the interview, good enough for me.
