Whilst that is true, at the moment we have played one decent performance managing a single point at home and everything else has been poor to terrible. We can't look at these games in isolation any more.
September 6, 20223 yr I warned you guys this would not be an easy game. Dinamo has been playing well and there best players are in good form. Chelsea has not been playing well all season except for the Spurs game.

Zaha could get injured this weekend and be out for the season and I still wouldn't put money on Pulisic, Ziyech or the version of Mount we've seen so far finishing the season with more goals than him. 4 goals is a season Talley for 2 of those guys. That is Cucurella mate.

On his like 3rd striker now who's already looking like a failure and afraid to shoot. Sterling who we also spent money on looked useless as well. Bought 2 defenders for a bunch of money and the 37 year old Thiago Silva remains the best defender. Remember Tuchel has spent now about 370 million quid to make the team his. 100 million of that money is back on loan to his previous club. Needs more money. He needs at least 2 more big summer windows. He is a world class manager, there is no one better. All his previous teams played attacking football. His PSG team scored 400 goals. Think I have covered all the bases for the excuses made for him.

As if better attackers improves this horrendous football.

There's no goals in this team. To think we're bringing on Pulisic and Ziyech in the 2nd half when we need a goal. Shocking performance from a team with very very little attacking talent. Letting Timo go was a massive mistake. Not many people would choose Ziyech and Pulisic over Werner and CHO. I'm not sure we even did .. I just think there are zero takers for the two we've still got ... But hard to put it all on those two when it was pretty inept all round, with perhaps a couple of exceptions. What now ? I still think the midfield is the biggest problem ...
September 6, 20223 yr No matter what Martin Keown thinks, at no point did we change our system tonight, even when it was plain that what we were doing wasn't working whatsoever. Ziyech for Azpilicueta was essentially a like-for-like swap. Ziyech had the exact same issue as James did with Ljubicic in the first half, with the single benefit that he could move the ball onto his left foot and make a pass towards the back post. If only he could kick a ball tonight... Complete and total rubbish. We yet again lose against a side that, on paper, we should be beating.

September 6, 20223 yr Mount was terrible, lazy af for the first half then kept making mistakes in the 2nd. Ziyech can sod off, how the feck are you a footballer? 2 bs freekick from the same spot? Trying flicks again and again that doesn't work. The fecking catching the ball before it being out of bounds? It's like I'm watching an under-15 game after one of the lads watched a YouTube video of Neymar Pulisic was a dumbass, in front of goal after Koulibaly cushioned a header and you head it to nowhere, free on course for a dribble and you let the ball go away from you for an easy tackle. The rest was average but ultimately useless. Nobody wants to come to the middle or pull away any defender. Ljubicic(sp?) had a 10/10 game because nobody wanted to go 2v1 against him. Daft
September 6, 20223 yr When a manager typically resorts to play it wide, cross, and pray to allah, its usually the beginning of the end.

Every time they got the ball they just dribbled past ours lot with ease, something we rarely see do our players. I am not sure that they were better. Like all teams they are just fitter than us. It is so simple for me. We have no tempo, no pace, always on the back foot, always offside. That to me is basic fitness because it starts in the brain. I maintain what I have said before. Bomb off the sh*t back room, the fitness people. He's got more backroom than fking players. Get a proper fitness coach in and work the bollocks off this rabble. Clearly they have not done enough in pre season and we are still not season ready. He has already conceded this.

September 6, 20223 yr Embarrassing performance! An absolutely gutless performance! Every single pay rise or contract talks should be cancelled until the end of the season! Players aren’t motivated enough to bust a gut for the shirt unless money is involved. Edited September 6, 20223 yr by 2211
September 6, 20223 yr Don’t blame the team, f**king blame Tuchel, he really is inept at changing stuff up, I yearn passionately for Carlos footie+ Contes will to win!
September 6, 20223 yr Awful. We dominated that first 15 mins, then we gift them a great chance and they score from it. So frustrating.
September 6, 20223 yr Kepa - 6 - Not as sh*te as the rest and made a good save. James - 4 - sh*te against any team that sits back and defends. Has physcial presence, but doesn't use it and doesn't have the pace to run past full backs that sit deep. Fofana - 4 - Out paced and beaten for strength for their goal. Koulibaly - 3 - If this guy is going to be taking Silva's spot next season, then we are f**ked. Washed up and has no agility, turns like a tank and has the reaction speed of a snail. Azpilicueta - 4 - Barely noticed him on the pitch, I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Chilwell - 5 - Barely got him involved in the first half, didn't even try and spot his runs in behind the defence. Kovacic - 5 - Carried the ball well, but looked hopeless once he got into attacking areas. Mount - 3 - sh*te again. Havertz - 2 - Worst player on the pitch after Ziyech. Constantly running into players, taking too many touches. Boring footballer to watch. Sterling - 3 - Sterling's strength is his movement and we want him to dribble past defences and play intricate touch play football. He will go down as another expensive flop if that is how we want to use him. Aubameyang - 4 - Tell him to shoot. He also needs to get used to having no service at this club, they don't have a creative bit of football in them. Subs Broja - 5 - What chance does he have of making it at Chelsea when not a single player in the team can find him? Ziyech - 2 - One of the worst performances off the bench since Bakayoko. The only reason why I didn't give him a 1 is because unlike the rest, he was at least trying to make things happen. Jorginho - 3 - Pointless sub, can't do anything but sideways passes. Pulisic - 2 - Dogsh*t, couldn't even control a football Cucurella - 3 - Headless chicken.
