This is entirely pointless when we are unable to compete physically. We do not have the capability to cover any sort of space. Stick 10 men in the box and put Mudryk up front - we are not physically capable of more.

This is all the fault of the owners and their total lack of knowledge and experience of running a football club. These are basic, basic requirements and they have failed to meet them monumentally. Unforgivable incompetence, and they're using a club legend as the lightning rod for their deserved criticism. f**k them to the end of the earth.

Well, I'm going to do something I've never done before: stop watching the match.

Spending the rest of the evening with Dominic Sandbrook and Tom Holland, or their history podcast anyway. Perhaps some horrible war can cheer me up.

From the first few minutes you could see every time they had the ball, there was acres of space between the lines. And pretty much all their goals came from simple passes between midfield and defence. Pathetic. Worse every game.

Sterling keeps trying to pass to players who have their back to him.
