Some taking this far to seriously

I for one are not going to abuse him on social media, I am hardly on any social media. I am not going to wish him ill health, or abuse his family. I am not going to throw things at him when he returns to The Bridge (unless it’s a stick of celery)

it’s good old fashioned football rivalry, we bought him up and nurtured him and put him in the position he is in from a young lad ….. going gets a little tough and he wants to top up his millions he signs for one of our biggest rivals …… he is a good old fashioned Judas simple as 😊

I am certainly not worried about life at Chelsea without him 😂

I would imagine that every player we buy will earn more than they did at their previous clubs.

If we are buying " snakes" the changing room must be the " reptile house_"

I would leave any job for loads more dosh, and f**k what my manager or other employees thought of me.

There wouldn't be a single transfer if every player was loyal to the club he was at. Emotional connection to our club is almost entirely with  fans  Everyone else comes and goes, we are the only constant.

He has a new club, why shouldn't he? He's only been a first team player a few years, we cannot hold him to the same standard as Lamps or JT.

Should we boo him?

Thinking on it. I'd quite like him to become a judas figure. Nice to have a villain.

I know he will be booed, the haters have been stoking it ip for months with speculation about him possibly saying disrespectful things about us fans and the club..

As far as I'm aware he's done nothing to upset the more fragile of our support..

The same  support that gives Gerrard an ovation at The Bridge but can't wait to give stick to Mount, .

Personally , I hope he and United have a sh*te game , and that we thrash them .

That's more important to me than anything else when we play them

Come on you BLUES !

It will be particularly gutting to see Mount playing for another side, having been a part of our club for almost 20 years (think he joined when he was 6).

I can't help but feel a bit like he's turned his back on us, especially after last season. The booing will be just IMO.

If Mount's getting boo'd we've got a hell of a lot of players to boo going forward.

Boo Ake, Kova and KDB when we play City.

Boo Jorginho and Kai when we play Arsenal.

Boo Emerson and Zouma against West Ham.

Boo Billy and Lamptey when we play Brighton.

Boo Guehi when we play Palace.

Boo Livramento if he goes to Newcastle.

He's moved on and so have Chelsea, perhaps many on this forum and in real life should do the same. Peace.

Cue the supporters who view Mount's decision-taking as a personal affront, bleating about respect and money :face_palm:

Spot on. With some of the just plain offensive drivel posted around here, Mount would be justified in celebrating a goal against us by blowing a raspberry.

Mount was pictured on Tuesday morning drinking a coffee as he prepared to head back to United's Carrington training ground to shoot his media commitments for the club.

He was surrounded by several members of his entourage and a few security guards ahead of adding the final touches to his transfer.

Me too, its going to be a very entertaining day on here watching all the children micro-analyse every word he says and get all their knickers in a twist.

Well one of those players were booed while he was wearing our colours so it wouldn't exactly to be stretch to imagine him getting it when returning.

And you seem detemined to make sure nobody see's any fault in Mount what so ever. You're just going to have to accept that some people aren't going to view Mount in such a positive light going forward. It's all part of football rivalry, and it's been this way since before any of us on here were born. As far as I am concerned, he's leaving us at our lowest, on the back of a terrible season from himself, for a team we have been very competitive with for the past 20 years, after being a poster boy of the club since he broke into the team. There isn't a fanbase in world football that would react positively in the same situation.

Why do people care so much about Mount? He left. Please get over him.

I still don`t get why our fanbase is so obsessed with him and that goes for both, his loyal fans and the ones that are ripping into him for whatever reason.

I am just glad this annoying saga of Mount leaving or not is finally over. I don`t think he is going to turn out to be a great signing for Manchester United. I am not saying he is Dele Alli 2.0 but somehow I feel like he has a big problem with his mindset and attitude that needs fixing. The transfer sum we got for him seems very high to me considering he had only one year left on his contract, is 24 years old and has been poor last season. It`s not like we are talking about some 19 years old kid here. Mount is entering what should be his peak years.

If he has a bad start for United this transfer could turn into a disaster very fast. The fan reaction is going to be brutal. Many of them were already ripping him for his performances for England.

Well, I was born probably way before you were, and I can tell you that although football rivalry is normal, abusing and hating a player for going to another club absolutely isn't.

I don't know why everyone says that Mount convinced them that he was Mr Chelsea, and now they feel betrayed.

How and when did he actually do that ?

A poster boy for teenage boys and girls maybe, but teen idols never last long.

Our club is more important than any one player,  we will survive without him

Come on you BLUES !
