Mason Mount

Keep wondering why it is here still. Remember others getting moved sharpish once they had left but this stays visible here to irritate people.

He hasn's signed yet I believe, and that's the criterion.

Well, ,he thanked everyone, it was perfectly normal. And in the best British stiff upper lip tradition, devoid of emotion..

Some on here are acting like love sick teenagers when their pop Idol leaves a boy band .

I liked him and wanted him to stay , but I'm not anywhere near as upset as those who actually hate and despise him and say he is useless. I would expect happiness and joy that he's gone to ruin United .

Had he been playing with the form of 2 seasons ago, he would have had the big offer, and i would have loved for him to stay. However on his form of the last 2 seasons, he didn't warrant a big offer, and would i feel have been a bench warmer, so leaving is i think the best alround outcome for all concerned.

As it seems to be the new thing,  not being nasty to players who move to a major rival …………..

can I just say , I hope something slightly unpleasant happens to you Mason like you miss an open goal

It will be strange seeing him in a United shirt. It would be fascinating to have heard what Lampard advised both Mount and the club. I can’t imagine him advising the club to sell him.

Really not bothered, our team over the last 5 / 6 years has lacked real quality, ability & strength, and he was a big part of that.

I'm glad we are rebuilding the squad to improve on all of those. I wish him well, just not against us. I can't seem him improving United at all if I'm honest.

Some of you say this is todays football, he's just looking out for himself moneywise even wishing him good luck.

In my opinion this is far worse than Courtois. He was a snake but Mount was the boy with a dream, Cobham graduate, England international, the chosen one and one of our own.

I hope he gets the welcoming he deserves when returning to the Bridge.

'Everyone can see that the club has made big steps forward under Erik ten Hag. Having met with the manager and discussed his plans, I couldn't be more excited for the seasons ahead, and am ready for the hard work expected here.

'I am hugely ambitious; I know how amazing it feels to win major trophies and what it takes to do it. I will be giving everything to experience that again at Manchester United.'

Well one of those players were booed while he was wearing our colours so it wouldn't exactly to be stretch to imagine him getting it when returning.

Didn't he play in the 3-1 loss in May? Didn't hear him get boo'd then. Left the same way Mount did too.

It could be have been much worse, United spend similar amount of money to buy a better player,  Mount repeat last season's effort ( or lack of)  and walk away for nothing at the end of the season. We have done well to get the amount for him, there were no other bidders apart from United, they basically out-bid themselves. Considering United only won a league cup last season, hardly like an amazing team that regularly contesting major trophies. Maybe he mistook them for the other Manchester team, but who f* cares

Let's hope for his sake Ten Hag doesn't throw his plans out of the window after two games again!

I'm sure I'm not the only person in forum history to ever hold someone accountable for posting a comment with a degree of certainty. No one said you cant have a different opinion mate.

I'm sure you're not, as I'm sure you're not the first to do it like a douche either but when I encounter one I call it out.

Happy we can now move on, we've shifted out a lot of average players for big money and he was one of them. We have not challenged for a league title since Conte left and a rebuild has been sorely needed.

Looking forward to what's ahead.

Disappointed in him that he couldn't stick it out with us, but his form over the last year or two had been average.

We'll have the memories, but I'm glad this saga is over now.

Created a champions league final winning goal, gave the club a huge profit, irritated some fringe fans, what’s not to like, cheers Mase !

Yes, let's all hail Manchester United player Mason Mount 😂

It's the oddest thing, Mason leaving for more money at United seems to have elevated his standing with a few within our own fanbase which is just unbelievable.

He's going to be held to obscenely high standards wearing that number 7 shirt.

If the extreme critisism by a minority has played any part in sending him away he's seen nothing yet.

Wonder whether that played a role in united convincing him. The number 7 jersey is the stuff of legends at united and any player that gets offered the number knows they are going to play a key role in the team. Pressure is also on, there’s going to be a microscope on him.

What a joke this guy is. Do you love Chelsea? Then stay.

He's a disgrace. And all his stans who dickriding for him got the biggest "f**k you" in human history.... from Mount himself.

No need to get furious on my behalf, I'm not enraged by his goodbye message even if you are
