Kai Havertz

How brilliant was it too see him like that?

All of a sudden belief that he'll turn into a top class player for us is back!

Think Tuchel have handled the situation perfectly with the extended break Havertz got. Looked like a completely different player today.

He was excellent. Looks like he might be the most natural finisher out of all of our attackers, too. I actually think he was exactly what we've been missing recently -- someone big in middle who can keep hold of the ball, but also has the pace to stretch the defence. When you see him play like that, is seems bizarre to try and play him as a number 8. He looks like a Striker -- one that's very, very good on the ball.

He should be our new false 9. His overall play is better than any of the No. 9 options we have against Everton. Hope it continues, he definitely transformed the way we play today.

Be wasted as a false 9, he's at his best running from deep beyond the striker into space.

Currently we don't have a decent enough striker that can allow him to do that though.

If we had someone like a Drogba that can trouble defenses then maybe.

He reads the game like he's 29 y/o and not 21-22, great movement.

I noticed that he just sometimes takes an extra split second to load his shot and it's easier to block him but that first time flick resulted in the "own goal" so it's all good.

100% take-ons completed

53 touches

5 touches in opp. box (most)

5 duels won

2 shots

2 aerial duels won

2 take-ons completed

1 penalty won

In this free role as a false 9 where he can just do his thing offensively and not worry about distributing the ball from deep he's looking pretty scary.

Gol you’re back with a bang. were you, like Havertz, just being held back for tonight? 🙂

With the right support Havertz could be the Hazard replacement we crave so much. This is a player Abramovich personally wanted so we can expect TT will do everything to get him fit and firing. Here's hoping whatever he's doing with Kai he can do to Christian and Timo too.

Also what great technique he seems to possess, handball aside (not sure if it was) the way he took it down and buried it....wow
