I guarantee you, we would always sell someone if the value was higher than what we would get for multiple loans. That's why when we sell, we always get a good price. And when we loan, it's because we aren't getting a good sale price. We do get paid for loans. They aren't free. A contract is for a set amount of time unless renegotiated. If they leave for free and they as you say aren’t loaned out for a fee enough times we lose money on them.
February 13, 20215 yr Some rumors in the press that he doesn't feel part of Tuchel's plans and wants to leave. Hopefully rubbish. He has struggled in recent weeks but so have others in the team. Hopefully he will still come good for us.
February 13, 20215 yr I've just read about that, if true, he sounds pretty pissed off. Can we trade him for Hazard? Sure, many Spanish burgers must have been consumed a lot since, but we can bring him back to his best again.
February 13, 20215 yr The biggest warning sign was no other club was interested in signing him, not a single one.. just us, a clear path. Speaks volumes.

February 13, 20215 yr It says there were worries that he may not be at the level required for an elite team. Listen at 27 he's entering his prime. Bar one or more season where he could explode and set the world a light, everybody knows roughly where his ceiling is. Is he an elite winger? Personally I don't know I watched his performance in 18/19 in the ucl and he looked good really good. The rumour mongering is the standard press work used when a player is out of form, I don't read the athletic but apparently he's happy here so its just tabloid nonsense that he wants to leave. The guy is probably just as frustrated as we are that he hasn't shown his true ability yet. To address the Hazard swap ngl I would take it purely due to the fact that the majority of Real fans don't deserve him. Hate to turn this into a rant so I'll keep it short and sweet. Yes Hazard showed up overweight, doesn't mean he's at fault for his injury. He got his ankle broken and then that started a whole host of issues, him getting rushed back and the injured again etc. A lot of RM fans blame him and hate on him its just sad to see.

Messed up his preseason, he still came back and played well. Just hasn’t kicked on after the second injury. Without injuries, I think he’d be our leading assist man and would be looked at much differently by many.
February 13, 20215 yr He’s not really had time to get settled properly, saying that I mean getting used to the league and English football. Plus the covid situation won’t make anything easier, being in lockdown and unable to get used to your surroundings and get to know local culture etc. I don’t think there’s been a signing who has excelled in lockdown? I don’t think you can count Silva really, he’s world class. He’d succeed anywhere under any circumstances.
February 13, 20215 yr Until he got injured Jota was excelling and maybe torres at city aside from that can't think of many

We concluded a deal and had it announced outside of a transfer window. Papers didn't even know they had to make up any rumours. It was done too quick and too clean for the usual transfer shenanigans.
February 14, 20215 yr I think what the other guy was referring to is the fact that before we signed him other clubs could have signed him. We had a transfer ban and no one came close to signing him before or during that period. Doesn't mean I don't think he is worth it but there is a point there that other teams weren't interested.

Overreaction at it's best. The problem with fans nowadays is the lack of loyalty and how easily the y turn on their own players. When Ziyech had that spell in October/November, he was probably the first name on everyone team sheet and now people have already given up on him. A lot of deals nowadays does not have involve competition. Bruno Fernandes, United had a clear shot at him? We just got the deal done very early before any teams could have a say but had it been left in the summer, then there may well have been more interest in him. Let's not forget he has had his fair share of injuries and there are many other players who also need to push their weight.
February 14, 20215 yr He'll become our very own Mahrez, he is stacked with quality, just needs the application

February 15, 20215 yr Rough game last week hopefully he is used today and can start to find some form heading into the toughest stretch of the season. If there was ever time for the wizard to put on his hat its now
February 19, 20215 yr Read somewhere that due to the Dutch league ending prematurely last year he played approximately 1000 minutes in all of 2020, based on that fact I think the criticism he has received for his performances has been slightly unjust. Would love for him to get some more minutes and maybe a proper pre-season before judging his suitability for the league.
February 19, 20215 yr With Pulisic out for tomorrow, it seems like Hakim should get some game time. Him or Kai could start or come off the bench for Mount/Werner

He had a pre-season though, pretty certain he was in Cobham in July training with the 1st team before the previous season ended.
February 20, 20215 yr This thread is a bit bizzare. It is like Ziyech was awful since the beginning. Ziyech was fantastic for us early in the season. He was easily one of our best performer playing as rw drifting inside. The problem right now what Tuchel want. If he want to get the best out of werner then probably no spot for Ziyech
February 20, 20215 yr I know he always looks like he has a bitch face but his attitude when coming was awful. not happy here.

I noticed that when he was warming up. That little strut he did with the ball when he was trying to dribble it through two players when he could've passed it to Reece summed it up. Couldn't match or raise the tempo of the game, he was in his own world. First few games he played he looked the real deal, especially against Burnley, outstanding performance that was. Now he looks like a different player, at least with Pulisic you can excuse it due to his age and he looks like he's trying. Ziyech looks half arsed, like he couldn't give a sh*t.

I agree he looked good first few games and i was an admirer of him at Ajax but he looks like a confidence player and not one who takes it to well when the chips are down.
