I think Jose made us the club we are now, Ancelotti played the best football I've ever seen us play. Then Conte changed the ethos of the club which is still there now. Tuchel seems to have taken what Conte started and pushed us to a level near what Ancelotti had attacking wise with that defensive solidity. Let's consider what's really important: the Mediterranean Ones were much better dressers. Tuchel is way too Kloppy with his cap and coaching staff outfit.

In terms of trophies won Jose, TT, RdM, Carlo, Conte In terms of entertaining football style Carlo, TT, Jose mk 1, Conte In terms of likability Jose mk 1, TT, Carlo, RdM, Conte(when he's not being a prat) As of today, this would be how I rank them.
November 23, 20214 yr We are so, so lucky to have him. Perfect manager for our club. And the best possible manager to develop our current crop of youngsters. As he's done so well so far and I don't think he's done yet!

The potential is there for him to top the lot. He’s very likeable as a person, some of the football we’ve seen recently is the best it’s been for years and the potential is there to win a hell of a lot of trophies.
November 23, 20214 yr He's reached the 50-game milestone as Chelsea coach 32 wins, 11 draws, 7 losses (64.00% winning record)
November 23, 20214 yr He's definitely not a defensive manager, twice in 4 days he could have shut the shop at 2:0, but instead urged the team to go for it. The young players are developing nicely, enough said about James, the likes of CHO and Chaloah getting games and looked classy players.
November 24, 20214 yr I have to say it has been a while since I have been this impressed with a coach. We genuinely look very2 good against almost any team playing with almost any player. And I don't give a damn if people say Tuchel is a defensive manager. Just look at city, people think pep is all about offense and crazy formation but his team is usually has the best defensive record. Furthermore, we are Chelsea, we have always been more successful with a more "defensive" coach.
November 24, 20214 yr I bet the club are delighted with how things have turned out. I feared the worst when Frank was sacked but the decision has been justified many times over.
November 24, 20214 yr Bit random but I wonder what @dkw is thinking about our current situation. Seem to remember he was rather vocal/worried about our academy lads, style of play and in general not a big Tuchel supporter last season at least.

November 24, 20214 yr Big test for him as to how he replaces Ben if he is out for a while. Maybe we recall Levi Colwill and play him there?
November 24, 20214 yr Injuries are really taking their toll on the squad this season aren’t they. Haven’t seen so many injuries for a while. Too much training?

Maybe in the cases of Kova and Werner. Lukaku got landed on with a horrible tackle and Bens knee planted badly when he tried to pick Rabiots pocket, could have happened to anyone. Huge ask on him now, lost one key player, not heard about Kante yet, that would be another irreplaceable one down.

I can't believe that Thomas "my middle name is structure" "Structure" Tuchel tolerated that mess of a team for as long as he did. With any luck PSG's infestation of f**kfaceitis (Neymar is patient zero) will have spread to a couple of the Man City players during their 180 minutes sharing the same pitch.

We may not have seen this had he skipped the PSG experience. He was clearly on an upwards curve, he's statistically the best manager PSG have ever had. His 2 full seasons showed great promise in the UCL the away goal elimination to Man U is as harsh as it gets at elite level football. Whilst losing 1-0 to Bayern in a UCL final is no shame especially considering they kept the goal machine quiet. PSG had no patience not to mention the friction between Tuchel and the board didn't help. Either way I'm sure PSG want to avoid us at all costs and I was thinking ideally we want to avoid them but realistically we shouldn't care who we get in the KO rounds. Tuchel's football is for me epitomised in the games against both Juve this week and the two legs vs Madrid in the semis last season. Physically teams cannot compete vs us the intensity he has brought is insane and if you look at the two games we lost this season they are completely polar opposites. If we play the Juve game in turin 9 more times realistically I dont see us losing the game more times than we draw or win. We let in a fluke goal. We were always in that game and should have got something. My point though refers to the game we were truly well beaten this season vs City, that's the only way a team stands a chance vs Tuchel's Chelsea you must not match our intensity you must surpass it, first to every ball allow no exit routes apply constant pressure. Juve nor Real Madrid elite level sides couldn't handle our intensity and I believe that will be the same vs any team on the continent, Liverpool and City are the only sides I can see that can match that intensity and ofc Bayern are a different kind of beast. However regarding both our domestic rivals we looked well ahead of Liverpool before the red card and the sending off and they couldn't breach our 10 men. City we changed our style yes we can play 352 and play in a similar 3ay to 343 but we didn't play with a 2 man pivot in midfield and a 2 fwd press that has characterised our team since Tucel took over. Despite our recent form it's my belief we're not at top level and in fact have another 2 or more gears left. Pulisic has shown he can catch fire in the specific league, Romelu started well but faded so has another level, Ziyech and Mount both have shown form in this league but aren't currently at max level atm. Timo and Kai have shown glimpses but have not yet it purple patches. Not to mention James and Chillwell alongside CHO seem to be reaching new levels same with RLC. Right now we have a functioning team but wait until certain individuals up top start hitting goal scoring form then Tuchel will really show us the best this squad has to offer.
November 25, 20214 yr This guy just gets better and better and has the team playing better and better. Have to hold my hands up and admit I knew little about TT and didn't want him here when rumours first started he was going to replace Lamps. But WHAT a transformation he has made with very few changes to the squad. What I am impressed with most is how every player is involved and then does well when called upon. He is keeping every player happy, even those who are being left out because they all know they will get a chance at some point and there seems to be one big happy camp right now which is down to TT. Being the pessimist, things seem just TOO good right now and I find myself waiting for something to go wrong (as our track record suggests it will!), and I hope it isn't this week with Anthony Taylor's Man Utd visiting The Bridge and Chillwell now injured. Let's just hope for another TT masterclass a right now, he, Guardiola & Klopp are a class above all the others out there and TT is going the right way to becoming our best ever manager.

Ralf pulling the strings for the game, same Ralf that had big influences over Klopp and TT. Chilwell injured, Kante probably too. McGuire absent for them, new manager bounce, Ronaldo being the ego driven show pony looking to fluff his own tail, everyone expecting we beat them easy, and last but not least Anthony pissing Taylor. Basically...

November 28, 20214 yr Seems to be f**king up in the games he was getting right last season. I have no idea what the thinking was behind starting Ziyech and Werner against a counter attacking team, those are not two players you can trust in these types of games. What made it worse is that he left Ziyech on for the entire match. Almost everything Ziyech did today was poor, and he was the one that should have been subbed off, not Hudson-Odoi. Maybe if Hudson-Odoi had stayed on, he would have been on the end of that chance at the end of the game and not Rudiger. I actually think overall Tuchel has us playing really poor at home this season. The loss to City where we got dominated, we scrapped over the line against Southampton thanks to their red card, and today and against Burnley we dropped points that we should never have dropped. The only good performances at home all season have been against Villa, Crystal Palace, Juventus and Malmo, every other game we have been poor in.
