Dont want to take owt away from  chelsea overthe two games with atm ,but i dont quite think we should be wetting pur knickers quite yet .
 

since crimbo atm have been lacking and it showed over the two games against us . 
 

From chelsea side of things ,we seem not to be able to score enough goals to make things far more safe ,but the way the whole team played to help 

keep yet another clean sheet with a NIL shows a different strength that we have not seen for sometime .

Great win, and excited for the quarter final. Seems a much better step than round of 16, where we continued to trip.

Many brilliant performances tonight. Kante, Rudi, Zouma, Kai, Kova  would be my shortlist for MOTM. 
Rest of the team played really well, no weak links but could do with a few more goals.

Some are saying that was Kante's best performance for us, but he's so good that I can remember him having even better games than this.

His performance in the Super Cup against Liverpool was still his best performance for me.

No, unless Lpool wins and either Arse or Spurs win Europa League at the same time

I am speechless, but still can type.

Super performance from everyone, but I am most impressed by those who would normally give me all reasons to worry or make me shout at the screen, namely Zouma and Rudiger and to lesser extent Alonso.  This trio was immense, especially Kurt and Tony. What a shift up in their work and mentality! Kudos to Tuchel for such a magnificent transformation of the tired, insipid and jaded team. Brilliant job, boys!

If Liverpool win the Champions League and we finished 4th, we still get a Champions League spot. But if Arsenal or Tottenham were to win the Europa League at the same time, we would lose that spot and be in the Europa League next season.

BT Sport seemed gutted Madrid didn’t get a penalty.

Brilliant result, both tonight and in the tie.

Special mentions:

1) Kante and Rudiger. 2 of the most complete midfield/defender performances you will find anywhere. Either could be MOTM. Immense.

2) Kova and Happy. Not quite up there with Kante and Rudi, but both also immense. Kova brought out the best in Ngolo.

3)Timo - cracking engine and running. Great poise on the goal and always a threat. The amount of times he makes a run but doesnt get picked out is criminal!

4) Mr Tickle - Brilliant game management. Good subs, great tactics, brilliant "managing"

Must try harder:

5) Reece - Not seen a player pass it backwards so often since Wayne Bridge.

6) Ziyech - a scuffed goal and a half decent 20 yrd shot aside, I thought he was sloppy and needs to do more. Gives the ball away too much and delivery lacking all night.

7) Emerson - only had 1 touch all night ?    Lovely to see the players celebrate with him. Great team spirit and shows how he is valued by the squad.

KTBFFH - fingers crossed for Porto!

Ferdinand calling that penalty call a disgrace and saying Rudiger will be embarrassed with the way he went down. 

Never heard him say anything about United and the numerous fortunate decisions they consistently get.

The guy is absolutely immense. Not sure how anyone ever questions him. He'd walk into any team in the world.
