Initially thought that was a farce (looked like Ziyech shoved Emerson). The VAR replay made it quite clear that Ziyech slapped him in the face.

I wonder whether Attwell issued the red card so he had the opportunity to see the replay.

That is a good use of VAR. If you want to give Ziyech red then you should give Emerson red. I always believe that the one who start first need to get punished the worst. 

Nothing would make me happier right now than if Ziyech  scored the winner.
