Hazard 7 shirts for sale in the Madrid club shop already, is it too much to ask to pull a Robinho and sell him off to Barca at the last minute just to tell that prick Perez to f**k off. 

An absolute joy to have watched him play for us over 7 seasons.  One of my favourite to have ever watched play for Chelsea, with his mazey runs, his low center of gravity, and amazing posterior.  

I think when Zindane came back to Real it was all but a done deal at that point.  Eden wants a CL medal, and he's the type of player who's legacy deserves it.  I don't think he could get one here, not that Real aren't as big a circus every year, but with the pending ban, the lack of certainty of a manager, and probably yo-yoing between CL and EL for a few more seasons, I can't blame him at all.

I think Eden genuinely loved, and is loved by the fans.  He spoke about being Chelsea, and loving London, the fans, etc.  There has always been an element of him flirting with Real, we knew that for seasons, it's just finally come to fruition.  And despite that, he goes out a winner, still loved, and with dignity and grace.  A Legend, no question.

Was always more of an individual I felt, from a leadership perspective.  Was never keen on suggesting he be captain, it's not his style.  The style he did bring, however, will take a long time to be replicated.

I love watching a player who plays with pure joy.  I loved the little behind the scenes videos of him joking around at training and with his teammates.  Unselfish to a fault, I always thought he felt Chelsea was his home and his family.  A lesser person would have left us a lot sooner than Eden is.

And he's gone.

I’m absolutely heartbroken, but I wish him the best unless he plays against us.

 

The memories will last forever! 

A wee small part of me wants him to fail and come back here in a year or so, but I don’t think he will - he’s too good a player and too good a person to fail!

We did recover, but City weren't as ruthless in the market and on the field back then. There wasn't a resurgence of Liverpool, and Tottenham were actually still a bit sh*t back then. Losing our best player and facing a transfer ban is going to really hurt us. 

Absolutely gutted, don’t think it will even sink in until he plays his first game for Real Madrid.

Most talented player I’ve seen at Chelsea, deserves a Champions League or Ballon Dor.

Hazard gone, RLC, Hudson Odi and Reece James all injured, badly need some good news soon at Chelsea.

End of an era

Cheers Eden, you were the most talented guy I have ever seen play for my club.

They don't deserve him

A massive loss for our squad.

 

Even though I already knew he was going, seeing the official announcement is like a punch in the gut still.

Not many players have ever left Chelsea and I’ve felt gutted about it but Eden is certainly one.

It’s happened and we’re beyond f**ked next season without him.

It happens just move on and build on what we have. Absolutely guarantee we will get Real Madrid in the CL at some point or Juventus if Sarri joins them
