Excellent win, as we keep up the pace despite the early scare.

Great to see Hazard back to his best! We look so much better when he's up and about.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- I hate Hazard's penalties. Will get us into trouble one day.

But a fantastic performance from our main man today.

it's a good win. as much as we didn't look fantastic, it's hard to always look convincing with so many fixtures coming thick and fast along with a less than ideal squad size. however, we still dominated the match and could (and should) have scored more.

He has a great record though. Everyone misses 1 or 2. If he has as good a conversation rate as someone who puts his foot through it, what difference does it really make?

Agreed he was outstanding today.

He waits for them to move so he's almost guaranteed to score, in 15/16 on low confidence and keepers kept note of how he shoots so he missed a few, he changed it up by shooting them hard with mixed results, now he's back to his usual self so he's taking them how he usually did.

I thought overall it was decent,

moses put in a good shift which is good to have him back.

the only player I worry about it Alonso he looks jaded and needs a rest

Slow start (not that I saw it, with 20 minutes of trying to find a decent stream), but comfortable enough in the end. Always good to beat the FSW.

Conte praised for giving youth at chance at Juventus, truth is Kenedy is never going to get a look in, even when Alonso has peformed badly, I find it perplexing.

Because he isn't good enough.

job done. could have scored more but solid performance overall. I won't be talking anymore about the deplorable quality of refs in the PL as it seems the standard when we are playing... But for once in an eternity, we got a pen!!!! I almost thought I fell into the 8th dimension or something when the pen was given!!! Anyway, 3 pts in the bag, now on to ATM. #UTC

Don’t know what he looked like Tv, Danny Drinkwater played well with and without the ball roday. Played further forward than Cesc and Kante when we didn’t have the ball looking to nick it back. Worked hard and put Morata and Eden several times showing he can play positive passes/ openings as well as just keeping possession and giving it to others.

Nothing special, much like the game against Swansea in many ways. We just got the job done. Next up, Atletico Madrid.

You’re far too harsh Scott, how many chances did Swansea get? I haven’t watched the Newcastle match yet but it looks like they barely had a sniff at goal all game also.

What i meant by nothing special was that it wasn't required. It was a 'get the job done' kind of performance. Nothing spectacular, just do enough to get the win.

Going to say this now, Drinkwater seems like a better signing than Bakayoko, at least in the short term.
Intelligent, Assertive and Prem proven.

Agreed, there was a moment when he threw himself into a 50/50 slide challenge and managed to win a throw-in from it. Definitely doesn’t seem as afraid to get stuck in as Baka, probably because he’s used to the midfield battles in the Prem.
