I see. American ownership.

I always thought of Kroenke as a very savy spender and not known for splashing the cash on fancy toys/players.

This is Captain America we're talking about.

All the "dudes" is what made me throw up in my mouth a bit

Doing him a disservice? What utter twaddle. Has Pulisic done anything to merit more playing time? He really hasn't. He seems a likeable enough fella and puts a shift in  but has looked about as productive as Kirk Cousins in big games for the Minnesota Vikings.

I agree we should be looking to let him go this summer but it has nothing to do with and disservice. It's just a reflection of what is right for an occasionally but not regularly good player.

I'm not even sure if its not actually trolling all along now. Is it real.

Is it just a few guys on a lot of accounts or do they actually only support the national team.

Think some of the posts are oddly similar, the respectful ones are possibly from different people.

@haviet1 is not a copycat account imo, neither @Valpo and a few others.

None of them are claiming to be American but have a suspiciously Maltese looking IP?

The You know how it goes, there is none so blind as they that know what they know, and won’t be told any different, no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary.

This was Alexi Lalas, speaking a little over a year ago:

“This is Chelsea with all the talent they have and all the money they have spent,” he added.

“I’ll say it right now, Christian Pulisic is too good for this Chelsea team.

“His talents are being wasted right now at Chelsea, with this Chelsea team that they have.”

Yes of course. We should allow Pulisic to go somewhere he’d be appreciated. Like LA Galaxy, or the Kansas City Wizards. Ain’t that right, Alexi.

Pulisic is doing himself a disservice by playing sh*t every week. Football is very simple, you play well, you keep your place in the team, you play poor, and somebody else gets a chance. Ziyech was in this position not so long ago, but he's taken his chance and forced his way into the team, Pulisic now needs to do the same.

What becomes evident to me is that people forget this is a team (squad) built for the future with success demanded now. Pulisic, CHO, Havertz, Mount, James, Chillwell, Werner, Trevor and anyone else round that age are here to stay this is a long term project to build a team for sustained success.

Yes we wanted of them to be playing at a top level right now, but patience is key. Year 2 for some and year 1 for others they won the UCL.

The early years is putting up with inconsistency with the hope a few years down the line they all hit their prime together and we have a team to ride us through the next half a decade and perhaps longer. Our squad is the envy of pretty much most fans, players and managers if not all.

Yes a few tweaks to the squad are needed but that shouldn't be getting rid of our talented youngsters.

To the American fans we will never be on the same wavelength. You support our club because you support one player, we support that player because he plays for our club. We have different interests at heart, but if you honestly think having this level of squad competition is doing him more harm than good you need to think again.

Pulisic is in a very healthy environment, surrounded by world class coaches in the hardest league in the world. Playing against world class players and managers and competing against his own teammates for playing time. Which should push him to another level, after all that is exactly how Frank managed him and to this date that's the best he's ever played...

I honestly couldn't care less about any fan that's supporting CFC only because one player has their nationality. Those "fans" are worthless, they could be Arse or Spuds "fans" next year if Pulisic went there. Just imagine that.

That sounds very much like paradise, they’d be leaving us alone and joining the forums of the scum from north London!

I just bought a ticket to hopefully see Pulisic play for the first time in my city next week in a WCQ match (-21C here tonight!). I’m beyond excited. Thank you TT for shipping him back to us in bubble wrap. Crossing my fingers that he isn’t taken out by CONCACAF hitmen.

You see there is a big positive, Pulisic plays less for Tuchel but as a result gets injured less and thus is available to play for the land of the free.

Agreed. Some people get hysterical if he sits on the bench for two games. I want him to struggle and fight and earn it. For all we know TT purposely put him on the bench because he knows that what happens in the next 10 days is way more important for Pulisic’s growth than what happened the past 10 days. The kid has to work this week.

To be fair, most American soccer fans (at least those with some common sense) have stopped listening to Lalas a long time ago.

That guy is a TV/media personality that will do and say outrageous things for a few clicks and likes. His substance has been high questionable.

I must admit, I do enjoyed most of your posts.

I don't think I've ever seen you bashed Pulisic (one of our favorite yanks abroad), but you continue to show a good voice of reason.

And you're absolutely right, our interests may never align. We come and support Chelsea, largely due to a player we follow/support. And I also accept the fact that our level of passion and support for Chelsea could ever be anywhere near your level. Maybe with times that might change.

However, I do think that if we come to this forum; the least we could do is show some respect for your club and your fans and hopefully we can exchange some good conversations about soccer and one of our favorite yanks.

Personally, I really do hope Pulisic will some how regain his form because for a few brief periods under Lampard he was a very exciting player to watch and has a lot to offer Chelsea. But I am afraid at this rate, his place at Chelsea will be a risk.

An American here with my two cents on "Captain America". I was stoked to see him come over but what a huge disappointment. He's come up in a few games but I feel like he reminds me of Oscar. He, like many of our players, have such potential but fail to display week in week out. I'm not going to stick by him just because he's American. If the club is doing him a disservice by playing him out of position or not playing him at all, maybe the club should do a real disservice and sell him and find a proper footballer to take his position.

One thing I don't understand is why he's always having his feet slip out from underneath him. It seems like 80% of the time he's on the ground.

I wouldn't give up on him yet. We've seen glimpses of quality and I believe he can produce it on a more consistent basis, but he probably needs a long run in the team. The constant switching around of our front three doesn't help anyone develop consistency.

I started supporting Chelsea because of Pulisic.  I follow the matches pretty closely.  I have been disappointed in CP, but saw he was soft mentally when he broke down after being benched in in a USMNT when he was literally crying on the bench.  Then he went on a tear after that and was largely responsible for CFC qualifying for last years CL title after the Covid restart.

If you didn't see how important he was to that effort, then you don't watch the games.  He was going in for his 2nd goal in the FA final and ripped the hammy.

Since then, he's been pretty anonymous.  I don't think he'd have lingering hammy issues, but he lacks the explosiveness he had.  He's also having trouble keeping the ball close on the first touch.

However, you also must not watch games if you haven't seen that the entire attack has been lackluster and even though CFC was great before DEC, much of the success was with backs scoring.

That being said, I don't know if CP will stay on this squad, but I will continue to be a fan.

IF some self important British w**ker doesn't like or respect my fandom, I couldn't care less. 😁
