Morata wasnt worse. Nor Kepa (We had 1 decent season from Kepa)

Morata was on par with Sheva and Torres as a striker flop for me. The bloke scored a couple of headers early on then was complete dog sh*t. Couldn't even control a ball.

Was fine is his first six months and was fine when Mendy was at AFCON. Think he's just very much a confidence player with huge dips.

Even in that run with Mendy away he let in goals Edou simply doesn't (City and Brighton) which cost us 3 points over the two games. He also made a comedy error at Spurs but somehow they out bantered him by messing up the move with an offside.

I mean fine compared to what we've become accustomed too I guess but for the standards of a number 1 nothing close.

His lawyers are meeting with Inter tomorrow. From a top source for Inter.

So clearly he's pushing for the move. Apparently Inter are pushing for a loan-deal (surprise, surprise).

Would take some real magic to make a loan move work. Inter cannot afford his wages, so unless he agrees on a wage cut would mean we would have to pay the difference.

Also we continue to owe Inter payments on this transfer so we would be handing them part of the fee and paying part of his wages so he could play for them. Sets a very bad example.

I said it even when it was a rumour, this c**t is no good for Chelsea, no good what so ever. But some thick c**t thought it was a good move to pay £100,000,000 million for him plus upwards of £350,000 per f**king week. Then the c**t tells us he doesn't want to be here whilst praising the inter fans. Low and behold he turns out to be f**king useless, absolutely f**king useless. Yet there are still some on here telling us he's OK but we need to change the team / tactics to suit him. Un f**king believable.

Now, someone with clout has finally realised how sh*t he is and need to get rid of the useless arsehole, but as inter won't pay anything like the obscene amount of money we wasted on him, rumour has it he's going on loan back to them and we're going to pay the majority of his wages.

UN f**kING BELIEVEABLE

I don't really get how these deals work but couldn't we sell him now and Inter pay in intervals like some transfers are done. Broken in to 3 or 4 payments, him being on loan and us paying for it is just muggy.

Also I don't know how contracts work exactly, but if we still have some of his payment outstanding can't Inter write that off or use it as part of the deal to resign him?

Again I'm no expert so I have no idea, but surely there's some way that all parties can find a suitable arrangement.

That's possibly why lawyers are now involved.

I hate it when you sit on the fence like that.

Still surprised no one will call out the manager on his signing. It wasn’t a signing that had to happen.

Would have loved to have seen what Roman thought about Tuchel pissing away £92m of his money.

I'm on the fence on this.

Lukaku has been sought after from the club and scouts since the Conte days. At the same time, Lampard in his interview with Neville stated the club never bought a player without his say so.

Think both are to blame on this. Maybe there was immense pressure from Tuchel to get a goal scorer in the team as advised by the club.

The whole singing actually reeks of Roman himself, or at least the general transfer strategy we’ve had for a long time at the club when particular market conditions occur.

If inter write off what we owe them (let’s guess at 50-60m) then get rid. I doubt they would though.

That would be ideal yes. Sounds like they want a loan and only paying 30% of his wages.

Classic Italian club. Been down this road with Veron, Crespo, Mutu, Morata and others. They never want to pay anything.

So Inter want us to loan him, cover 70% of his wages, and continue to pay the remaining transfer fee balance?

Yes though I may have miscalculated the % they are willing to pay of wages. Basically they don't want to pay him more than what they were paying him before he left. I think 30% is a bit lower than he was on at Inter. May be around 45% or so.

Always mate, though funny how they could afford to pay united a fee for Rom...

Serie A is his level, so if he does tear it up again, scores for fun.. then the ball is in our court, as surely another sucker will want him and pressure Inter. This idea of a loan (as long as it’s for 1 season) at a place he’s likely to increase his value isn’t all that bad, just in the short-term it’s a horrible deal.

Well when you see your team to two trophies, two cup finals, a CL quarter, and 3rd in the league - and there would have been legitimate concern that his job still may have been on line.... It's not surprising that we've ended up with Torres instead of Aguero, Mata instead of Silva, Lukaku instead of whoever. No manager would wait for the better option while Roman was around.

Very unfair to lump Mata in with that ... JM was absolute class for us.

You'd be better off using Oscar as the comparison to Silva.

I won't lose any sleep if he does leave in the summer.

I'd much rather see Chelsea operate with a cut your losses mindset, rather than hanging on in the hope it may work. Fundamentally, for me, it comes down to whether Tuchel wants him and thinks Chelsea are a better side with him in the starting eleven or squad. If not, sell up, even if at a loss.

The counter-argument to this is, do we have a replacement lined up? And if yes, will this impact other areas of the squad that also need addressing?

Mata was absolutely brilliant for us and would have been if it wasn't for Mourinho's inability to use him.
