Diego Costa's boat race when we scored the second goal. Priceless. Brilliant display by Chelsea. One to go donb in  the history books. We really deserved that victory. Over the moon. Morata's goal was world class and Batman sealed it. Amazing victory against one the CL favourites. SUPERB.

I was prepared to write this even if we drew or lost this game, but writing it when we've won makes it even easier and backs up my point even more.

 

The most pleasing thing about this besides the result is the fact that we've shown we can go away to one of the hardest teams in Europe to play against and absolutely dominate them for 90% of the game. That was a frighteningly impressive performance from us tonight. Hazard was absolutely electric. Morata offers the team so, so much. Bakayoko while giving away silly fouls is a terrific athlete what a combination him & Kante will be. While not Fabregas finest night he was in there to do a job and helped congest that central area where we often end up over run against the big sides. A night where he and Hazard are both on form feeding Morata will be frightening.

 

The versititly that gives us in changing a game with the likes of Willian, Pedro & Bats off the bench is quite incredible.

 

I wasn't overly confident before the CL campaign got under way, but on that performance I don't see any reason we can't go deep in to this competition and beat the likes of City and United back home as well.

 

Absolutey outstanding performance by the players tonight and Conte got everything spot on as well, we could have won that by more. That last minute goal was the very least we deserved!

 

Buzzing for Saturday now, when I was admittedly a bit apprehensive before tonight!

for once we got what we deserved in the CL. we really were the better team tonight, very impressive performance and apart from the pen we didn't give them many good goal scoring chances

I think this group of players may be the best we've seen yet. They are so together, so skilled, so hardworking - I'm hoping they can achieve something fantastic this season

best away performance in Europe for a long long time. I'd even say it rivals barca away in 2012 where we rode our lick at times. 

That was a dominant display against one of the toughest opponents we will have this season. Morata is the real deal, and with hazard, we will cause anyone problems. 

The way we worked the ball for 2nd goal, when it would've been so easy to just stick it in the box, it was top class.

 

Two things that were made obvious tonight Baka is a massive upgrade on Matic in every respect and Morata is a much better footballer than Costa has ever been.

For all the criticism of Michy no one can say he doesn't know where the goal is. Makes for a super sub. What a game what a win. Liked the way Conte moved Fab deeper after half time. He works well in that Pirlo role and got less exposed for that period. Good second half from Luiz, made some amends (but needs to cut it out quick). Big up for Morata and Haz who ran themselves in to the ground. That was a class performance and exactly the sort of marker we needed to put down to be contenders in Europe

To be completely fair Atletico soaks the pressure and hits you back but today we had Kante and Baka facing them. Impressive from us but possession is not their game or ours for that matter.
