December 30, 20232 yr If they sell, chants of Roman Abramovich should go down a treat! Not that they'll care at all, fans are zilch to this lot!
December 30, 20232 yr Chelsea through and through, from the academy, multiple time captain, arguably player of the season and doesn’t want to leave - and we consider selling him to Spurs to cover the cost of project players like Moreira and Gabriel? Do piss right off, some things are just completely unforgiveable
December 30, 20232 yr 40mill to Spurs. Better not be true. Our match going fans need to make their voices heard of this. Surely almost every Chelsea fan must be against such a deal.

Just goes to show what a bunch of w*nkers these owners are if they do this.
December 31, 20232 yr I wouldn’t sell Tottenham a dose of the clap. Vile club vile fans there is no way Connor would go there

Would be pretty ironic if this triggers it given his/Marina's last big move on the market was selling multiple academy players to fund Lukaku.
December 31, 20232 yr Selling to anyone would be stupid unless it was a monster offer. Selling to Spurs would be unforgivable. Gallagher is exactly the right sort of player for Postecoglu's style of play. We'd be handing them a perfect fit

December 31, 20232 yr Certainly if the club were dead set selling him they’d instruct Poch not to play him?
December 31, 20232 yr Paper/ agent talk to get the club to offer a contract more in keeping with what the player is wanting? He or palmer are POTS for me so far. Would be madness to give those north London Wan*ers anything other than the cold shoulder.
December 31, 20232 yr According to the Daily Mail, Conor Gallagher was the PL player who conceded the most fouls in 2023 ! 72 if you were wondering ! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12867413/Erling-Haaland-runs-away-goals-en-route-Treble-selfless-Mo-Salah-lands-gong-Chelsea-star-committed-fouls-year-Mail-Sports-2023-Premier-League-awards.html

Of course there has to be commitment and energy but sorry CG is a country mile a way from a top PL player. People see a player running around and get drawn into a hype but he certainly isn’t even to the quality of Phillips ( when fit ) at Man City . CG dives into to a tackle and time after time gives away free kicks in very dangerous positions. Of course we have needed him this season but if he continues to be a first choice midfielder we will struggle to get higher in the league . If Spurs offer decent money say north of £50 million then I would snatch their hand off.

He has a lot of energy, sometimes uncontrolled, especially with his tackling, mostly because he's out of position. Needs to start scoring goals if you place him anywhere near Lampard and although he maybe closer to Rice, he still has a bit of a way to go yet to be a £50mill+ player

I'd give him another season here and see how he progresses; he's been playing in the EPL for a few seasons now and IMO the progress is there but its slow and I'm not seeing much more of a player that I saw at Palace TBH.

The Spurs link makes no sense to be honest; he isn’t starting ahead of Bissouma as an 8 or Maddison as a 10. This would be as weird as Mount going to Utd when they already Fernandes playing in his position. Even if he were up for sale, he is better off waiting till the summer to see if West Ham come back for him if they sell Paqueta or Villa if they sell Douglas Luiz.
January 2, 20242 yr I think that unfortunately, there may be some truth in the rumours that the Club MUST sell a certain number of "home grown" players, in order to comply with FFP rules. It would help massively if the Owners or their lap dogs, would explain exactly the position the Club are in. We then just might understand why they are even considering making such shocking decisions as selling Conor. I have posted elsewhere on the Forum that I will be "done" with this Club if we sell Gallagher. This is because of his LOVE for the Club, his endeavour, leadership qualities and loyalty, but to be honest, since these owners came in and f*cked things up so Royally, I haven't really felt the same about the Club or its players (Conor exempted) anyway.

As I believe, with the recent sales, we are well within FFP already, so this sale would be overkill for now! I look at players like Gilchrist and wonder whether we (well, they) are just using players like that to bring them through to sell on, without any thought of any guts to the club. The sale of Conor would confirm that! It's a proper business now and seems to be looking to be 100% run that way without any loyalty. We were more than spoilt with Roman (God, I miss that guy) Remember we have a good women's team to follow @coombsie, but it's probably only a matter of time before £££ gets seen there too by the board!

Hasn't this been the way since Roman? Our youth team, large squad subsidised the first team? Our youth pulled in loan fees as did our extended squad? Selling to pay for first team upgrades has always been done hasn't it? Guess it's how you view Cobham. As for the women's game, the upside financially is there for growth over the next 20 years. Losing the games best club manager probably wasn't part of the plot but id argue CFC is incredibly well placed as the women's game develops.

Tell me a better buy in the £1,000,000,000 we’ve spent who gives close to that, and you’d sell him for 50m to f**king spurs. Un f**king believable.
